I just unplugged my old Apple TV box from the power cord and HDMI. Plugged the new one in. Didn't even have to change the adjustments on my Logitech Harmony Universal remote!
I swapped them out as well, but I'm having an issue when I use the Harmony to power everything off (TV, New Apple TV, Onkyo receiver). The new Apple TV will kick back on by itself after a second or 2, and then it turns the TV back on as well. I don't mind the new Apple TV kicking back on, because it will just go to sleep after 15 minutes, but I don't want the TV to stay on. Any ideas for a fix?

it sounds like the Apple TV is using HDMI-CEC to turn the TV back on. Is turning off CEC an option?

No 4K support is a huge disappointment regardless of the amount of content available.
Now if we can only get Logitech to integrate a microphone in their remote... Another bummer - more than one remote now.

Major disappointment for me - the absense of digital audio input. Can't plug my sound system anymore.

There's about 3 things total in 4k out right now and that's what you're worried about?

Notice I said regardless of the amount of content available.
It is to be worried about because more 4K content will become available and then you will just have to buy another Apple TV. Playing right into their plan. Not to mention if the next update to the Apple TV is anything like this one, time wise, you won't be able to watch 4K from it until 2018-2019.

My Soundbar has a Optical Audio wire and a power cord. The Sub just has the power cord. My Harmony has it set with the correct presets based on input and action.
I made zero changes to the existing Harmony setup. I literally just unplugged the HDMI and Power cord from the old Apple TV and plugged them into the new Apple TV. With about 15 seconds of adjustments on both remotes (Apple Wants you to hold down the touch surface click while adjusting the volume up and down using your main remote-in this case my harmony universal), my Apple TV remote controls my TV volume perfectly.
How are you trying to set this up? Did you download the new Apple TV Userguide in the iBooks store? It's incredibly helpful.

Dude, 4k may barely be widespread by 2018-2019.
Even if that is the case, so what? 4k TV's are through the roof right now. I don't think I'm going to blink over another 150$.
I just really don't think that's a big deal at all right now.

You don't think they will wait 3 years to update it? They spent this whole time upgrading it to something awesome. Then they dumb it down to integrate "new" features each year. Apple does it with every product, but I still buy it.

4K TVs are cheap as frick. Can get a great one for under $900.

The price difference isn't that crazy at all:
Samsung 65" HDTV
Samsung 65" 4k Ultra HDTV
$200, or $60 difference if I get the open box

Hm. Well nvm. I stand corrected. They must be down from the 4k price tag for a 42"

You can get a 49" 4k Vizio at SAMs for $499. I got a 55" samsung for cheaper than I bought a 47" HD 3 years ago.
The content definitely isn't where it needs to be, though. Which is sad all around.
Cable and Sat still don't broadcast in 1080p. Although that falls on the networks and their signals. Lots of streaming still isn't 1080p.
The only place that seems to have its shite together is YouTube... but in reality, it's just regular people providing content and youtube providing server space.

Well...I'll still say this. A TV like that may be 4K, but I'm willing to bet the rest of the specs on it are suck.

M series is a good tv. Google the reviews, the don't suck at all.

i don't get why people would buy an Apple Tv, outside of an existing allegiance to Apple products.
You can get way more bang for your buck for $150 on an Android streaming device if you are okay with not having a siri remote.

Are the HDMI ports HDCP 2.2? It doesn't say anywhere just says 5 HDMI. If it's not HDCP 2.2 you just learned a lesson about buying B tier displays at a club store.

Well, I already had the older version which I've now moved to the master, so its nice to have two. So yes, being a mostly apple user that probably is the main reason. But I can't imagine switching to say a Roku at this point. I've got too many other peripherals and services that work too well. Plus I can't stand laggy UIs and this new one is butter smooth. Siri in the remote is clutch as hell along with the touchpad which is really nice.
