Does anyone know if Apple TV has Disney and Disney junior apps?

What am I missing? I can't really see a reason for me to replace my current AppleTV with the newer model. The games do nothing for me whatsoever. Speed? I don't buffer or anything currently so apparently my present AppleTV is fast enough. What am I not seeing? I love new gadgets but even I can't justify getting this one.

I need another Apple TV anyway. Wife uses it all the time so it will be nice to let her have one for the bedroom when I am watching football.

Universal search and an app store that lets you add whatever channels you want, not just games.

ETA: The worst part about it, IMO, is that it doesn't have optical audio out like the old ones.

Universal search
Searches all of the apps at once? That's one thing I've hated since the beginning. Hmmmmm

Yeah, I need a metal detector to find the little bastard sometimes.

My one complaint about this is the new remote. I have been down to a single remote since picking up my Logitech Harmony and its worked like a charm. So nice not having multiple remotes.

But I guess having two won't be quite that bad.

Rent or buy from the iTunes Store. I also bet the UI of apps will be better. Pretty good contextual voice search. Example: "Show me James Bond films. Now show me the ones with Sean Connery. Just show me the ones from the 90s." Outside of that, I'm kind of disappointed that this is what they came up with after nothing for 3 years. Especially since local iTunes libraries are not shown in universal search or have Siri integration at launch.

Got mine in last night and just had enough time to set it up. Man it's a super smooth UI which I really like. Siri integration is awesome. "Show me some good movies on HBO", whole selection pops up. "What about this show?" Brings you right to it. And one thing I really like is that I can control my receiver with the remote and didn't do anything to set up. As soon as I plugged it in and turned it on, receiver switched to that input and I could control the volume.

Really liking it so far with only about 20-25 mins of play time.

My Apple Shipment info said no signature was necessary. I got home yesterday with a note on the door from UPS saying a signature was required. Tried to have the driver drop it off at the Walker UPS store, no dice.

Drove to the Airport and picked it up this morning before work. Will have a detailed sitrep tonight.

Brettersaurus...Do you run the speakers on your TV or do you have a different setup? I am running a Soundbar/Wireless Sub combo and I'm wondering how that will impact the Apple TV's ability to control the volume...?

I have a 5.1 receiver all my peripherals run through. I'm guessing they upgraded the hdmi ability to control throughput or something. Because I actually had a Sony TV previously paired up with this Sony receiver and could control everything from TV remote due to some variety of that capability. Glad to get a little bit of that back.

I just unplugged my old Apple TV box from the power cord and HDMI. Plugged the new one in. Didn't even have to change the adjustments on my Logitech Harmony Universal remote! It picked up the volume controls amazingly. Almost effortlessly. I don't have it controlling my power and switching inputs because I still want the Harmony to be the maestro for those commands.

First impressions: Siri search is great but it isn't baked into the content apps quite as deeply as it will be. You can see the potential for what it does do though. The improvements to UI/UX are obvious and as was mentioned super slick. The remote has made what was a pain now frictionless if not outright fun.

Oh and Crossy Road is hopelessly addictive LOL...

ETA: There is a new Apple TV Userguide available in the iBooks store that Apple is recommending for users. Helped me with the setup for the volume control since I'm using a Soundbar and not the TV Speakers.
