I'm pretty sure I want another 15", so I can choose between the 2.2Ghz or the 2.5Gh. 2.5 also has a better Nvidia graphics card.
Looking at 19 vs 22 for price. Is the .3 Ghz really noticeable? I doubt I need the better graphics card, I don't play many games on my laptop
nb4 anti-apple retards.

.3 Ghz isn't noticeable. How much space and RAM does each one have?

Go with the 2.2 and Iris Pro graphics. The Nvidia card, if you don't intend to use it, is just going to be another expensive piece of idle hardware sipping power and outputting extra heat for no reason. Iris Pro graphics are pretty great for anything but gaming and 3D rendering, and while the NVidia 750M or whatever cheapo card they're using is technically better, it's still not good at the two aforementioned things.
And no, the .3 Ghz isn't going to make a difference. Just make sure it has the SSD space you need and 8GB of RAM.
I don't buy Apple computers, but I still know things.

While you're correct that there's no point in getting the Nvidia card if he won't use it, fwiw, the MacBook Pro has automatic graphics switching and will disable the Nvidia card and use Iris Pro instead, if it isn't being used.

256 and 16 on the 2.2
512 and 16 on the 2.5

Ah, apparently it uses its own graphics switching tech rather than nvidia optimus or Lucid Virtu (might be a desktop-only tech anyway). It actually powers off the GPU when not in use instead of just disable and ramp it down to a low-power idle state.

Unless you will be using it for graphics intensive tasks, you won't notice a difference. If you're going to be using photoshop, illustrator, premiere, etc., then get the graphics card.
But either way, wait a month. WWDC is first week of June I think and they will likely be releasing updated 15" MacBook Pros. Then you can decide if it's worth it to buy the new one or get a refurb of the current model at a lower price.

I've heard from people that use the crap out of their Macs that the switching is buggy as hell.

Go with what ILikeLSUToo said.
I just remembered that the 13" was just updated to Broadwell, but not the 15". If you can wait a couple of months, I bet the 15" will be updated as well. Probably at WWDC at the beginning of June.

The new 13">15"
Although, it may be too much change going from larger to smaller. But the new 13 is absolutely great. Light. Fast. Much cheaper. ForceTouch.

Not only that, but they've struggled to really find the best way to do it without damaging hardware. It's no surprise that almost every recall they've done was in machines with dedicated GPUs. Any time the GPU is put to work, you can tell, whether it's from the sudden burst of fan noise or the 3rd degree burns on your lap. I love having the power I do have in mine now that Apple fixed it, but good lord, that thing gets hot.

I haven't ever had a problem with it (I have a 2013 MBP with Iris Pro/GeForce GT 750M). I have had gfxCardStatus installed since I purchased it, so I know it does switch all the time. I never manually override it.
