I bought this game online for my son for Xmas and every time he plays it, the entire computer locks up or goes to black screen and I need to turn the computer off and on again. Any insight on how to get this to work? Not sure of RAM but pretty standard for two or so years ago.

I loaded it on a very basic all in one Lenovo PC that we got the kids for Christmas. I notice the worlds take a while to tender and if we have mode loaded, the gameplay can be choppy.

It's probably the limitation of the graphics on the MBP, depending on which model you have. I think I have a mid-2012 MPB and the graphics aren't that great and I don't play games.

Mine craft recommends dedicated graphics on laptops and not integrated. LINK

Sounds like the GPU is overheating.

That rubbish.

I ran it on my SP1 with integrated graphics just fine, even with an enhanced texture back.

You'll have to drop down the graphics to fast and turn down the render distance, but the game will be smooth as butter.

It shouldn't. My son plays with no problem, outside of a noisy fan, on my 2011 Mac mini.

My daughter plays it on my 2011 Air flawlessly.

Delete and download it again.
