Got the new Note 7.... It's legit... Which messaging app do you recommend? I thought Message+ was the stock app because that's what came up first. Then I found Samsung Message on there. Starting fresh so I want to pick one now and stick with it.

Hangouts is pretty useful, it was the only way I could make calls and send texts when ATT went to crap last weekend. However, I like the stock app with MightyText.
ETA:
My main use for hangouts is so that my twins, who don't have cell service, can call and text me, my wife, and other family members.

Google Messenger is SMS and MMS only, a text messaging app requiring cell service.
Hangouts is an internet messaging app. Can send messages over Wifi. Everything is tied to your google account, not a phone number. You can use this on Apple devices, Android as well as desktops/laptops, or directly from Chrome browsers.

Handcent SMS was one of the cooler messaging apps I've used, but since I upgraded to my latest phone, I just don't even bother any more, I just go with the stock app, it basically does everything I need it to.

Textra and will give allo a shot.

Textra still fricks up MMS for me.
Could be a T-Mobile issue I guess.

It's weird, if I was in a group text and someone sent a picture, it would always fail to download with Google messenger. Also tried hangouts, and stock Samsung messenger. None of them worked

will textra work in group if im the only one using it and others are on iphone? i recently switched to S7 from iphone and am not seeing lots of pics and some messages.
