I didn't upgrade to Yosemite but I figure they will force me to upgrade soon. I'd like to wait for bug fixes. Any new features they are cool?

Not super noticeable to me, honestly. Looks a little better.

I have. Can't find one single thing that I use different.

Folders in 'Notes'

I upgraded to El Capitan. I dont notice anything different besides the look. I also never had Yosemite. Seems fine though.

I'm on it now. Seems faster. Font is different. Split screen multitasking is cool but i don't use it too often--it'd be better suited for an iPad but it is nice to have.

Very doubtful. Why would you think that?
You should upgrade anyway. It's free and faster and has a lot of new features that came mostly in Yosemite.

I want to upgrade, but last year my USB modem stopped working after I upgraded to Yosemite (I'm in Asia). A patch eventually came out, but that time in between wasn't fun. It looks like the same thing is happening again. Is there any reliable way around this or should I just wait?

I know what you're saying, but
For those that don't know, you can now run two apps in full screen mode side by side kind of like Snap in Windows.

It's much quicker than Yosemite, and I'm usually pretty harsh on Apple's "updates". I'm still using a HDD as my main drive since I've barely had this machine working in the past year or two due to hardware failure and chargers being chews on by a kitten with expensive taste. Yosemite crawled on hardware that, outside of the drive, is still more than adequate enough to perform decently. Windows 10 absolutely flies on the same hardware even on an "unsupported" model for using it with BootCamp. El Capitan is noticeably quicker to launch, I have less downtime where apps are deciding whether or not to obey my order to launch, and it just feels snappier.
In terms of features, there's very, very little to call home about. In terms of a performance boost, it's a solid update. I don't regret upgrading.

Cool. Thanks for the info. My mac has been lagging a bit lately. I'm definitely going to upgrade.
