Unfortunately, after eight years, my 56" Samsung appears to be on its last leg. The television will be fine for a day or two and then wham. It keeps turning off and on by its self, to the point we have to unplug it.Please show me the best deals the internet has to offer on a 70" or larger TV. I'm looking to keep costs to $1500 or below.

Mucho Gracias,

$1799

BuyDig offers the Vizio 70" 4K 240Hz WiFi LED-Backlit LCD Smart Ultra HD Smart Television, model no. M70-C3, for $2,199. Coupon code "DIG4K" cuts it to $1,799. With free shipping, that's the lowest total price we could find by $399, although we saw it for $288 less this past spring. It features a 3840x2160 (2160p) native resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, full-array LED backlight, V6 6-core processor, 802.11ac wireless, Smart TV (with access to Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora, and other Vizio Internet apps), 2-sided remote with backlit QWERTY keyboard, USB, and five HDMI inputs.

Check to see if your model is affected by the blown capacitors issue. My Samsung that I bought in '08 had problems about 2 or 3 years ago and Samsung sent someone out to replace the capacitors at no charge to me. Been working fine ever since.

Wut? Why not just get a smaller higher quality TV if you only have $1,500 to spend?

The Vizio that CE posted is the best value option out there right now. You get what you pay for.

Some people aren't as discerning with video and audio. Those that are discerning can't unsee/unhear things and that's why they struggle to understand how some people can ignore things or not see them. Curse your discernment. In video, audio, and liquor it just makes you spend more money to get the same enjoyment.

Sounds like he has bad capacitors. My model wasn't covered by Samsung, but ended up changing them myself and has been working great since

I don't know anything about cheap 70" TVs, but this doo-dad that was in the ad at the beginning of the E-series review linked above is pretty fricking neat.

Yeah- I got the 2015 model with 240 hz and just hung it up tonight. So far, I'm really impressed. The picture is crisp. I love the size over my fireplace. It really makes my living room glow. The apps are sweet. I've been watching netflix for the past couple hours. My only complaint is that the remote is kind of small and feels cheap. Everything else is perfect, and I'm really happy with the purchase...cannot wait for football season.

I think wally world only has the 2014 version, at least that I've seen in stores. The 2015 E70 has a different stand.
