Linking DirecTV & AT&T Accounts

I already have both accounts active.
I see you can save $10 a month on DirecTV bill if you link it to AT&T.
Any loopholes or drawbacks? Any other advantages other than the savings?
Thanks for the help.

Dont do it. They'll frick up your accounts overcharge and issue new accounts and numbers once you catch on. Im dealing with it now and know two others who got the same problem. Its so bad that lawyers are our only option at this point.

both me and my parents have done it with no issue. it took 30 seconds online and they save $10 a month just for being a customer.
there were some issues when it first launched 8 months ago but we havent had any issues. you will be fine

I have AT&T for home phone and Internet. The phone was part of the package, and we do not have a home phone, just number and line.
My bill arbitrarily went up from $52/ month to $99.10 last billing cycle. I spent an hour on hold with them last week and will not do it again. I'm going to keep Directv and cancel AT&T this week, as I am currently searching internet providers in my area not named Cox.

I had a giant host of billing problems. I would highly recommend against it.
Shortly after my cell phone got rolled into my work plan and I cancelled DTV for PS Vue. So hopefully I'm all done with that mess.
The cost was the biggest factor in going to Vue, but the billing problems sure didn't discourage my decision.

If it is AT&T Wireless, you get unlimited data and reduced cost on your plan.
$60 for the plan plus $40 for each phone with the 4th phone line free.

This seemed like a no-brainer until I read that you can't use it as a hotspot.
I'll stick to my 30Gb plan... And Comcast

It depends on the type of phone that you use... if you're on Android, it can be done via a custom ROM. Ive been doing it for a very long time.
