Amazon has ended its Free App of the Day promotion and introduced a new app, Amazon Underground. The new app brings over $10,000 worth of apps, games and even in-app items that the company states 'are actually free.'

I was just about to post this. The free app of the day had gotten pretty stale. It was mostly repeats for me, but I have been getting pretty much every FAotD since it started.

Have you downloaded the Amazon Underground app yet?

i randomly came across it the other day on play store & it said FREE and i was like 'who knew'?

i still have the version i got from amazon but its a bit more of a PITA to have it run off a different update system.

I thought it was still paid in play store but I did get an email yesterday from Plex saying the Roku channel is now free, which I don't remember having to pay for.

Pretty sure it's limited functionality. From the play store description:
quote:

Enjoy unlimited use of the free version of this app, and unlock its full functionality with a Plex Pass subscription -OR- a small one-time in-app purchase (see below).

may be true, but before you had to pay even to launch it on your android just to play a local video.

if it handles the local playback only for free i think 99% of useres would be happy with that.
