Actually Onkyo use to have it too. They may still, I haven't looked.

Not anymore. For some reason they decided to develop their own audio correction software and ditch Audyssey. From what I read on forums it's terrible. I wouldn't purchase another Onkyo even if it had it though.

Just chiming in here, I recently set up a home theater as well. Here is what I went with and where I got it:

BenQ HT2050 Projector - $799 Amazon
Elite Screens Spectrum 100' Motorized Screen - $215 Amazon
Denon S910w Receiver - $579 Amazon
Polk TSx 330T Tower Speakers - $188 each Amazon
Polk TSx 150C Center Speaker - $199 Amazon
Polk PSW125 12" Sub - $349 Crutchfield
Polk Blackston PL2B Rear Speakers - $99 each Crutchfield

I'm very happy with it so far. It is my second home theater I've set up and first with a projector. Still tweaking the crossovers for fronts & sub, but it makes watching movies and sports enjoyable. It's not the best equipment in the world, but for my eyes/ears/budet I am very happy with it. Probably going to get another set of the Blackstones for side speakers and expand to 7.1 Just my two cents, I enjoy reading this thread and also AVS threads.

Is there a reason you are still tweaking the crossovers? Run Audyssey and leave them unless you are raising them. They should be between 60-80 and set to small. That's really all that should be needed.

The only thing that you may need to change after calibrating would be the levels. I bumped my Center up a level, sub a couple, and the heights a couple.

Not really, just playing around mostly. My HT is on the second floor so i don't want the sub to cause my first floor ceiling to crack. I have run Audyssey and it is awesome. I ran stock out of the box for a few days just to be watching it, and after running Audyssey it really sounds great.

That's what counts. My feeling is similar, I don't need to have the greatest system I just want a good sounding system. It will certainly be better than my current soundbar.

What do you think of this JBL sub compared to the BIC F12?
LINK

Friend told me he has it and likes it. Obviously the BIC has more power so seems like a good deal for $200.

or anyone who can quickly answer some questions about a subwoofer.

I finally go the BIC 12 in to hook up to the rest of my system. I got a Denon X2200W AVR. The sub has a few toggles on the back so just wondering a couple things:

There's a note that says "If you are using a Dolby Digital type receiver the subwoofer crossover control does not work. You must set the crossover frequency in your receiver".

The receiver does say Dolby DTS on it so should I not worry about toggling the crossover frequency to 80hz on the sub and do it from the AVR?

Also, there's a toggle for RECEIVER TYPE and the choices are Pro Logic Receiver or Digital 5.1,6.1,7.1 Receiver. Which one to use?

I know these are probably dumb questions but I admittedly don't know shite about this stuff

Audyssey should have set that up though. How is it sounding?

Well I had to physically toggle those switches on the sub. I just ran Audyssey a few minutes ago and then played the Blackwater ep of GoT and it sounded pretty badass

Thanks again for the help you gave
