I've never understood why people switch from say a 5 to a 5s or in this case a 6 to a 6s. However for someone like me the 6s will be well worth it coming from a 5. I really think getting on the s cycle is a better option.

I'm in the same boat (bought a 5 in early 2013). Based on the projected specs for the 6s, I might just pick one up later this month.

So for someone with a 5c going on 2 years now, is this one worth getting or should I roll with the now cheaper 6?

You can't turn off force touch on the MacBook. Unless you mean you turned on Tap to Click.

I didn't like the feel of it...anyhow, I can see it being useful on the phone since it has a smaller screen and the force touch can reveal more menu options (like a right click does on a desktop)

This. my 5S has been slowly acting up. I'm ready for the latest model. With the 6S and the new AppleTV, they have my full attention today.

I've gone from 3G>4>4S>5>5S>6 and my updates will let me upgrade to the 6S thanks to some additional lines and finangling I did in July to get things into place for both myself & wife to upgrade.

I may just hold off, though. My iPhone 6 is a fantastic phone and I'm extremely pleased with it. May need to take a test drive with a 6S before I pull the trigger. Otherwise I may wait for the 7.

My wife was a trooper and hung with her 5 for an extra year. I got the 6 and really like it over the 5. Her 5 had the home button fall off, so she switched to my old 5 with battery issues and a broken power button.

She'll be getting the 6S Plus the day it comes out. I'm kinda jealous of her being on the S cycle now, although she will miss out on the "big" change cycle.

Maybe some details were left out in the live blogging, but they just talked about monitoring the heart rate of a fetus in a pregnant woman. As soon as this picture hits Pinterest and Instagram, watch sales are going to spike.

so interesting notes...

I'd like to see the camera capability. If it's a big upgrade, I'm making the jump as that's the only real distinguishing feature on phones that excites me.
