I have a HDMI cable that was built into our house to hook a television up over the gas fireplace.

The problem I have right now is that I need about 6 inches of HDMI on the television and somewhere about 3-4 feet on the other end going into the box.

Any suggestions on what I can do, and if such products exist, where can I find them?

thanks...

Look up "hdmi coupler"

You are welcome

ETA: or you could also lookup "hdmi extender"

Have you tried pulling the cord? Maybe some is tucked behind wall

If not Amazon has many cheap options, just buy a 15' and pull it through using the old one

Fireplaces in the south are vastly overrated and Im think about putting my big flat screen TV over the hearth area of one of my fireplaces because the TV is the new focal point of a room. This ain't 1800's no more!!

No kidding. I have a sealed zero clearance fireplace in my bedroom and unless it's 15 degrees out, have no use for it. Same for the family room. The fireplace gets used maybe four times a year and it's using gas logs, not wood.
