Gonna buy the wife a new mac laptop and need recommendations

She loves her older MacBook Pro and I was going to surprise her with a new one. She does a good bit on her cricut so there's that. Should I go with the newest version of the Pro? I'm not the most tech savvy guy so tips will be good, guess top price I'm willing to pay is around 2500.

Definitely go pro if that's what she has now. Get the same screen size, too.

I would get the previous one that is on sale if the reviews for it say there aren't many problems with it. It's on sale at Best Buy for $2399, and it has a 512 GB ssd in it with 16 GB of RAM.

For what it's worth my wife (no pics) runs Cricut on a 13" MacBook Air with 4 GB RAM / 128 GB SSD.
