I get 120 hardwired paying for 100. I have no complaints 2 weeks in. $50 for life is a sweet deal

I'm no AT&T fanboy but their fiber network covers 100 times what Verizon and google do currently.

I have frontier fiber literally coming into my home and the highest speed I can purchase is 150Mbits/s. Hahhhaaha what a joke.

None of our crews bury the copper or fiber drops 18" deep, probably more in the 6" range.

That doesn't mean their hand wasn't forced. AT&T already had the established infrastructure but didn't want to use it to its full potential. When Google and Verizon tried to get into AT&T markets where they are the only big name in town it forced their hand to upgrade service. Verizon has Fios in more than 20 cites, some of which are the biggest population areas in the country. Like NYC, DC, Philly and Boston. Once they started poking around AT&T monopoly country, At&T had to do something.

I have had ATT fiber for about 2 months. No problems at all. Wifi, uverse and digital phone for 125 a month. Much better experience with ATT than Cox. I couldn't be happier since I switched.

No they leave it on top of the ground because the guy that hooks it up doesn't bury it. That is an entirely different crew. AT&T is inefficiency at its finest.

This is also true. Most of them just scrape the sod back enough to hide the cable, not actually bury it.

They're coming Thursday to do mine. I'm ready to get rid of the ugly assed old cable and phone wires coming into and rigged up around my house. My laziness in not trying to do anything aesthetic with those has finally paid off!

And my bill will be $9 less a month than my shitty-arse 18mbps current service is.

Ya know because fiber makes you poop!
