Cox Internet vs. AT&T Fiber

So at the moment I have Cox Preferred Internet (50Mbps) and paying roughly $60/month and I have the ability to switch to AT&T fiber 1000 (1000Mbps) for around $70. I am a cord cutter and was wondering if I will notice a big difference in speeds. I do experience some buffering from time to time but it's nothing too noticeable.
Anyone currently using AT&T Fiber and can attest to its superiority? I don't mind paying more if the difference is noticeable.

Went from Charter 60Mbps to ATT Fiber 1Gb. It's incredible. From time to time something will buffer but it's not because of my connection, it's at the other end. But generally HD loads instantly. It's fantastic. For $10 more, you are getting 20x the performance.

I will never use anything that has anything to do with AT&shite.
150Mb/s is more than enough from Cox for anyone.
the only thing that could differentiate between Cox 50+Mb/s and AT&shite 1000Mb/s is the reliability of it.

I swapped from Comcast's 200 Mbps to it, and it blows Comcast out of the water 5 times over. It hasn't ever went down. I get 2 and 3 ms pings. My bandwidth is like 940 up and down to the local at&t server. Also, there is no data cap.

Get C-Spire fiber if you can. It's the fastest internet out there.

I just switched last month from Cox to Fiber. The speed is as good or better for the same "speed". I switched mainly because our internet was spotty and Fox just increased my rate two months in a row. Also frick Cox. If you need a referal code let me know.

Most people won't notice unless they are downloading or uploading huge files.
Won't really impact streaming services as they really only need 5-10mbits per stream.
Latency is really independent of bandwidth so that is more a function of each ISP.

Your computers and devices become the bottleneck when using the internet at that point, switching to GB.

ATT should be offering 1000mb for $70 and 100mb for $50 for life. I went with the 100mbps and it's plently. And now I don't have to call yearly to haggle new rates

You realize you are never coming close to 1gb right? You are probably never coming close to 100mb or even 50mb at a given time unless you are running a shite ton of devices at once.
HD streams only use about 8-12mb and 4k uses about 25mb.

That's not true, if you are downloading or uploading a large file it makes a big difference. Say you are downloading a Linux distro, you could easily max out a 1gb connection, as I have done it. I have a security camera that benefits from a higher upload than the mere 5mbps or whatever you typically get from a cable company.
I can be streaming 2 4k streams of netflix, downloading an xbox or steam game, listening to music, constantly uploading my security camera feed, and working and not even notice a thing.

Read the fine print and make sure they don't give you a data cap. Especially if you are a cord cutter.
