I store all my torrent movies on a hard drive. Recently I started downloading movies in bulk (older trilogies and such). After the last batch of throwing 50 movies at once on there...almost none of the movies play at all now. Most will start, but within minutes/seconds, the movie stops and there's an error.

Is there anyway to fix this at all? I googled for hours upon hours but couldn't find a solution.

Thanks!

maybe it's a sign that you should stop stealing copyrighted data

What operating system are you using? Windows has some special formatting requirements to address storage larger than 2.2TB.

Try copying one of the movies onto another drive to see if it will play from there.

did you ever defrag the drive?

and did you leave any room for the drive to search?

like is the 3g full? if so, delete some or move a few movies and give it some elbow room in which to work.
