Nope. I bought an M series and it went out in 5 months. They replaced it and the replacement went out in 3 days. I am now waiting on my third Vizio in 5 months. Yeah, real solid tv.

Shitty luck is one tv going out. POS product is two going out. I am hoping it was that particular product run that was bad. They are sending me one that is one inch bigger and I hope that size doesn't have the same problems.

Of the 6 tvs i own currently, the Vizio is easily my least favorite.
The smart tv component for Vizio's is just shite. The only positive i can tell you is that it had an ethernet port so i can hardwire in. The wireless was always going out and just wasn't reliable at all. And i have a samsung one room further away from the vizio and router and it's wireless was miles better.

As far as the picture goes, it is fine, but the wireless aspect for it was very, very shitty.

If you're just looking for a decent tv fairly priced that you won't care about using it's smart capabilites, sure Vizio is a good tv. Just don't buy it expecting it to have the extras that Sony and Samsung has, or even LG.

My only complaint on my Sony, which is an Androidtv, is that it's not supported by watchESPN app yet. Once that happens, it'll be perfect for cord cutting. You can even put Kodi on the Sony Androidtv.

No shite? How well does KODI run on it?

I have a Vizio M series and I love it. The new ones look much better than mine. I have gotten many praises on mine especially since the bezel was so small.

It has smart features but they are usually worthless on the TV's. Get an Amazon FireTV and load Kodi on it and enjoy.

Side note: I have a 65" and I want bigger I can never go back down.

I was just looking through all the apps one day a couple of months ago and saw Kodi. Remembered hearing about it here so i looked into it more. Went and downloaded the app, then followed the steps from the link on this board and it was installed.
All i use is Exodus, and i really only use it to watch shows from CBS, Discovery and AMC since they aren't on Hulu.


I have a Roku3, only b/c the androidtv doesn't have WatchESPN, so i'm hardwired into the Roku3. The TV is only about 15 feet from the router so the wireless is perfect and i don't have buffering issues at all, even watching 1080P streams. The tv does have a ethernet port too, just using the cord on the Roku3.

If Sony would put Playstation Vue on their frickin tv, and get the watchespn app, it would be the best tv on the market hands down. Hell i wouldn't even really need the WatchESPN app if it had Vue. The Sony Androidtv is basically a big tablet. You go through GooglePlay to search for apps.

When's the next time you plan on upgrading the TV?

It's going to be a while before the 4K will do you any good, and Dell is having a solid deal on the 1080 Vizio 70":

If you're getting a TV for the next 10 years, 4K may be the better choice. Personally, I would go 1080, then go 4K OLED in ~5 years when the price is reasonable and 4K content is more prevalent.

I just hung a new LG earlier this week. haven't had a chance to test it out much but so far the picture is nice.

My first big screen TV was a Vizio I bought in 2006. It still works great. I've bought multiple Vizio's since for different rooms and I've loved them all.
