At that range, there will certainly be better, but maybe not "for the money".

Anything Klipsch. It will run you $400-$600 on average, but there are occasional deals that drop some to $300-ish.

I got my parents a Klipsch bar last year, and that thing screams. It was the bigger one though.

Thanks for the help fellas. ended up going with the brand Energy (Energy - Connoisseur Soundbar with 8" Wireless Subwoofer CS-30) which is a company associated with Klipsch. Sound was booming in the store.

Marked down from $599 and got it for $299 at Best Buy. Helluva deal if anyone is interested. It shows online as $599 but when the guy rang it up in store it was marked down.

dang that's a lot of money for a sound bar.

might want to just do stereo/theater sound at that price.. but i prefer the no hassle.. i bought my sound bar like new for only like 150$ and it has satellite speakers 5.1 and has HDMI.. i was big in wanting to get one with hdmi audio.. i'm pleased enough with it. it can get reallly loud. had to go into my cable box settings and switch to 5.1 and whatnot.

i enjoy it well enough.. much better than the poor quality speakers on the tv..

Hijack -- what would yall recommend for a <$100 sound bar? Hell, $50 would be even better. Got a 32" Samsung in the bedroom that could use a small sound upgrade.

Wouldn't waste my money on one that cheap.

Yeah, there's an opposite to the point of diminishing returns and something in this price range is just that.
