I know that Beats By Dre have the best but they also run like $180 a pair. Just wanting to know if anyone else has tried any of the other brands and what their opinions were of them. TIA

Jaybird X2
got some of these. they are super comfy, great sound, and stay put when moving around. if you are using them for exercise, they are sweatproof as well.

Back beats
Had great success with these for probably the last 4 or 5 months. Recommended them to others and they love them also. The price went up I only paid 84 I think so maybe they can be found cheaper somewhere else. Hope it helps.

I got those for my wife for Christmas. She's training for two marathons in the spring. How is the battery life?

I guess somewhere between 6-8 hours. I'm usually in the gym for at least an hour a day 6 days a week and I only charge them once a week. Been really good for the price to this point. If your wife has small ears they may be sore the first few uses, but after that all is well.

I hit a $20 pair called G cord off Amazon that gad 4 1/2 star reviews and are happy so far. Good fit and decent sound quality. For $20, they are a steal.
I have other expensive headphones but went cheap for this pair.

there are tons of these on amazon that are all basically the same. i'm sure they are chinese. but i'd take a $20 flier on them before i'd drop the money for some jaybirds. if you read the reviews, some of the companies that sell these actually have decent customer service and will replace defective sets for free.

If only Yeti made Bluetooth headphones?
I like over the ear, behind the neck and maybe that makes me an outlier. The battery life drops to crap fairly early, but I've used the Motorola S305 with great success for years now.
After 6 months or so, you have to charge them every time, right before you use them, but otherwise, no problems. And they charge with the standard mini USB that my phones have used for years, too. I've gotten them fairly sweaty with no problems. Pairing is good. I've also used them for occasional phone calls and they're adequate for that purpose as well.
Amazon - $25

This. Just picked up a pair at Costco yesterday for $49.99. A great price. I like them b/c the case charges them.

They sound great for the price though for anyone who wants to use these for something other than at the gym

I have read plenty of negative reviews on the Jaybirds because they aren't durable. Has anybody here recommending them had trouble with that? Or am I being paranoid from reading Amazon reviews?

I just got a pair of backbeat fit for Christmas. I like them so far. Very comfortable and have a good range on them.

So I'm on my 2nd pair of Jaybirds and about to go on my third pair. (Thanks to my warranty)
If your ears get dirty and somehow get into the earphones, you're screwed. Enough sweat and gunk got into my right earphone and the sound is going out or has gone out completely.
I was always one for recommending Jaybirds because they sound amazing and truly block out noise, but I'm about to go back to over-the-ear bluetooth headphones (NOT BEATS)
