I am starting my own LLC for some side projects and am looking for a user friendly and inexpensive site where I can build a website.

I have looked at 1and1, wix, and squarespace.

What does the tech board say? Thanks!

I use wix for our small business because it's easy as hell and allows me to do a mobile site just as easily.

Had the boss' daughter design the main page and I just duplicated most of the info and format to the mobile editor. Didn't take long at all.

I use namecheap.com for my domain registration. They have coupons codes every month for new customers posted at LINK

I use namecheap.com for domains and have a site on hostgator. My site isn't commercial, though; I have no idea if they'll meet your needs for a business.

godaddy website builder is pretty damn idiot proof. its also like $15 a year for a basic site (ie, no cart or selling functions) would would be just fine for an informational only site.

Same here. Godaddy is my 2nd choice I really don't like dealing with 1and1.

I use WordPress and host on Hostgator.

My personal favorite is Wix, it's VERY user-friendly and easy to handle. Plus, they have added new features recently, and there are plenty of tutorials for beginners. Check it out, here, I hope it helps. Good luck!

Hi! Yes, it's possible to create a website using website buiders like Wix, Moonfruit etc. My wife recently decided to create a site for her business and asked me to help. I wanted her site to look serious and found a good wordpress theme on https://www.templatemonster.com/wordpress-themes/monstroid2.html . I always thought that using wordpress would be more difficult than using website builder, but now I can say that I liked wordpress and found it more flexible.

For domain registrars -- Godaddy is dogshit. Horrible UI, badgering sales calls. I love Hover -- cheap and simple.

I use 1&1 because when I got them it was cheap to do private domain registration with them.

I've used shared services through hostgator for some server space on occassion. They are pretty good if you aren't going to have a very high traffic website.

My company has been using GoDaddy for like 10yrs and I think I get a call from them once a year to go over our account, which I appreciate.

Have never had one issue.

GoDaddy .com - $14.99/year
Namecheap .com - $10.69/year

How many domains do you have registered? Are you getting 40% better service for the extra 40% you're spending per year?

ETA: .org domains are 60% more from GoDaddy than Namecheap.
