I guess I'm gonna get galaxy 7 edge...

I imagine they will software nuke them. So if you have one, you're probably going to have to get something else no matter what. I don't have any inside information on that, just reacting to them killing the phone. I can't imagine there will be any software support for it. Not to mention it has not been well articulated why exactly some of the phones have a grenade function.

I want to know who is getting fired since all of these phones are defective.

I really want to keep it

I think they accidently sent out the nuke code to the Note 5s. Mine has randomly turned off three times today

I'm so sad today I had a replacement Note 7 and it was perfect and had to give it up for a S7 edge which is a good device also but feels like a downgrade. The Note 7 was probably the best looking phone I've ever seen and i had the black one was stoked to have it. Then today happened unfortunately they will not support updates for it and have killed production forever for the note 7 I only hope that they come back strong next year. Nothing on the market compared in my eyes...sad sad day this sucks

Same. Have too many Samsung devices and accessories now. There's no phone I'm crazy about, and the pixel seems over priced for what it gives.

According to the guy at the Verizon store I talked to, it was defective batteries. Not sure how many on the board know this, but Lithium batteries are not the safest technology in the world. A Lithium battery that cannot handle the required amperage drain from whatever device it is in can start releasing some nasty gases, and even explode in the right circumstances. This has actually happened to cell phones before, and is one of the current problems in some e-cigarette and flashlight batteries.

I'm going to take a hard look at the V20 when it comes out in a few weeks. looks at least promising. I've never had an LG phone. Has the extra large screen, that fancy second screen, and a great camera. That being said i'm a sucker for wireless charging, and it does not offer that.
I think I could really like the S7 Edge, but I can't back off from that Note screen size. anything else just seems... lacking.
We'll see.

Probably a stupid question...
All the problems are with the Note 7 correct?
The Galaxy S7 edge is fine, as far as the defect go?

Thanks
looking into dropping AT&T and everyone is telling me to switch to Verizon, but my current phone isn't compatible with Verizon (Galaxy Alpha)

Well, apparently they don't have the Silver S7 Edge yet. This blows.

Yes. I'm thinking it has everything to do with the combination of the new USB-C port and the manufacturing process used in making the note.
