I'm wondering if there will be a significant price drop, upwards of $1k, to justify waiting to purchase one? or if i should just get one now?

They are already listed at 500-1000 off of their Reg. price. So asking if they will be dropped even further, come deal season, seems like a reasonable question to me.

Just thought someone here might have a general idea of how much current model tv's drop in price come holiday season, as I haven't been in the market for a new tv for the past 5-6 years.

Yes, they will come down especially the B series.

I have the 65ef9500 from last year and love it. This year's are better and the B series is already cheaper. They are worth the price now but I think it will go down. The EF came down a good bit after being out a while.

Perfect. Thank you. I will probably just wait as I don't NEED to get a new tv just yet, and if it drops significantly that would always be in the back of my mind.

You wont see significant price drops in the 2k range on any oled worth a shite until the tech comes out of more than one manufacturer. Its still to early to adopt that tech for people on a budget or looking for a bargain. LG is still pretty much leading the oled tv market and are by themselves at the moment. Now, if you just have spare bedrooms full of cash to throw at the 5k to 10k oled tv market, by all means do it and I'd be jealous. But if you are gonna spend 3k on LGs lower end, 55 inch oled, you might as well go 75-80 inch 4k samsung LED for now. Or wait a few more years eeking out that old 1080 samsung 65 inch like I'm doing

Please don't post unless you know what you are talking about. The 65 inch EF series came down to $2500 online two months ago at the end of the cycle. It had been out one year. I could easily see 2k for the B series next spring.

Usually, the best deals are in between model years, which usually start rolling out after CES and the Super Bowl are long gone. The majors and manufacturers are trying to get rid of inventory to make room for the new models that hit stores in mid to late summer.
