Any CISSPs on here?

I am looking to get my CISSP and I was wondering about the process. How do I document my experience and find another CISSP to endorse me?

Generally both of these come from your employment. IE, you would work for/with someone who is a CISSP and gain experience in the course of your employment.
I'm not a CISSP , but work with them often.

I have an OSCP. It was extremely difficult but rewarding. CISSP seems to be one of the "it" certs right now though.

I've worked with a few. You have to have verifiable experience. They will call and check your references.

Do you have to have your work experience supervised by a CISSP? I mange our firewalls, pen testing and VPNs at my job and have done that for years. That had to count even though I don't work for or with a CISSP.
Any idea if it will?

You experience documentation is done on the honor system to a degree. You document what you have done and for how long. The person that endorses you is technically your "voucher" that what you've documented is truthful. If you do not know a current CISSP holder ISC2 will endorse you. I dont know what type of verification they may do if they act as your endorser.
You don't document or get your endorsement until after you have passed the exam. If you don't have the required experience you can still take the test. If you pass you are an "associate CISSP" until you meet the requirement.

Yes
Keep in mind, the experience only needs to be in 2 or more of the 8 domains for 5 years.
If you have been managing firewalls and pentesting for 5 years you should be ok

Maybe if you use them as an endorser. I know they didnt call any of mine but my endorser was someone I knew.

I am digging through my linked in and trying to find anyone I know that is one. I bet one of the companies I deal auth had one that will endorse me.

You may have a hard time finding a current CISSP that you dont know that is willing to endorse you. Like I said before, they use the endorser as the testament that what you are saying is true. Someone who doesnt know you or isnt familiar with your experience may not want to put their name on the line for you.
Based off of what you said your experience is you should be fine. Just get ISC2 to endorse you.
