Amazon fire box, is it worth the extra over the stick?

Trying to get this cord cutting going, was wondering if I should get a box for the main TV and a couple sticks for the other TV's or just get all sticks.

Do you have a hard wired network connection and space for the box? If so, get the box.

The stick is nice, but it can be laggy and mine gets pretty hot. Only advantage is go with box is if I could have a wired connection.

Seems like easier to get KODI installed on it

So would a fire stick be good for a bedroom across the house?

only? there are several advantages to go with the box. like you said, the hard wired connection is one, but the box has twice the RAM and twice the processors. twice the RAM gives it a huge advantage because you can increase the buffer size in Kodi for streaming, which is mostly dependent on available RAM.

I had the stick and it lost signal a lot so I sold it and got the box and never had a problem with it and runs faster

The stick is not the greatest wifi antenna. I got spotty service on iPhone in my bedroom. Put the stick in there and it basically didn't work. Ran a new AP to the hallway just outside, and it works great now. A little laggy on the processor side at times, but it's fine.

If you don't have a strong signal, it might not be the best option. Box would allow a hard wired connection, or drop another AP near.

Anybody know if you can watch the Braves on anything other than a Mlbtv subscription? I'm considering the Amazon Fire Box and that appears to be the only route is Mlbtv. Foxsports go doesn't cover any regional events.

I will grab one and find out, if it doesn't I will put it in the living room. I just would hate to have to run wire across the house through the attic

I like how the box just hangs out of sight on the TV as well.

I love my stick, no issues with speeds both network or app related for me, but my router is also 10 feet away.

I've also been looking at these Android boxes, they seem interesting as well, everything is open

Not yet, not sure I'll ever get around to it as little as I use it overall.

Not if you have good internet and a good router.

My router is downstairs and my stick works perfect in the upstairs bedroom
