Yeah based on personnel alone I would hope we start someone more nimble at right back. Fabs is our best bet against Montero. I would be scared to think about that guy running at Orozco.

I know this has been beaten into the ground, but this is exactly the reason why it's frustrating that Lichaj hasn't gotten a real look under Jurgy. The versatility he brings in that he can play on the left or right is so valuable.

Absolutely. Lichaj is a worthy squad player. The US could slot him in at RB and really not have to worry.

Too bad Jurgen thinks he's the smartest guy in the room.

If Castillo has been competent in training, I think that's what you see. Orozco just seems like too defensive a choice, the kind you make when you're defending a lead against the likes of Paraguay and not needing to out score a team like Ecuador.

Only thing about starting a weaker option at LB, like Castillo, is does it make it less likely you'd bring on Pulisic if you are down in 2nd half?
I assume he can play RW also, so maybe it doesn't make a difference.

But it seems like our fullback play is so important to our attack. It would be nice to have Cameron and Johnson, two top flight players, there.

I don't think so, if that's the situation, you bring in guys who give you the best chance at a goal, regardless of what that means defensively.
