Barca should hurry up and make Roma an offer for Stekelenburg.

I agree, but what his price, I don´t know whether or not they´ll fork out big bucks for a keeper.

Roma paid €8 million and I guess would probably sell for €8-10 million. Barca probably also has the type younger talent that's not going to quite make it (like Bojan) in abundance to work out a deal.

I think Stek's a very good GK even if he didn't completely pan out for Roma. He was always solid but Zeman seems to prefer the kid, Mauro Goicoechea and rumor has it will go hard after wunderkid Mattia Perin.

I assume it's mainly because Goicoechea seems more on the same page as far as playing quicker, incisive, longer balls out of the back but Stek is good with his feet as well (why Luis Enrique wanted him).

The only problem may be language. Stek seemed have trouble learning enough Italian or Spanish to communicate with the backline. Zeman was highly critical of this and rightly so if it's the case.

The other problem, of course, is this potential transfer is all complete conjecture on my part.

I think there is a Polish goalkeeper or two, who are of world class potential.

Szecz is a great shot stopper, his distribution is very poor.

Any chance of a move for Reina? Went through the academy and has superb distribution.

it was made funnier by the fact that it was in response to pepe being too old

They are probably surprised only because he was thought to be a one-club man. Doubt many outside of the area are surprised. The mental impact of being Barca's #1 keeper must be tough.

yeah on top of the weight of pretty much never having a shot of being spains number one must be tedious. wonder where he will end up? i'm sure someone in la liga could use him, but he might want to try his hand in another league

Maybe LFC or Arsenal in the Prem. Although LFC has reportedly submitted a bid for the Mexican keeper.

I dont want to lose Pepe... Although the signs have been pointing to his exit all year and you dont really say no to Barca...

I'd love to get Ter Stegen... Ive been reading about Ochoa today and all accounts is that he is a great shot stopper with good athletic ability, but shaky in other areas... It will be so hard to replace Pepe's distribution...

The bundesliga has a lot of great young keepers, ter stegen, leno, zieler, baumann, and trapp. I believe all are under 23, they've played in the german youth setup and currently hold down starting roles for their club team.
