That's a solid lineup that should get the job done these last two games. But yeah, the lack of depth is worrying. Let's pray to the soccer gods the starters all stay healthy.

Wonder if Bruce rolls out a rotated lineup for the Trinidad game like he has for most of the 2nd games. I'll be very worried if we don't get all three points against Panama. You never want to be in the position of needing a CONCACAF road win to control your destiny, and that's where we'll be if we don't win Friday.

About 79% of that roster depresses the frick out of me. I had a very real nightmare last week that we didn't qualify for the WC.

That nightmare may be a reality a week from today.

I think Benny + Pulisic would be a great combination.
Not sure if he'll play, but I'm hoping Benny sees the field Friday.

Feilhaber being absolutely stunned to get called up does not make me feel better about the overall state of things

Guys... relax, we've got Panama at home and then play a team that's already eliminated. Meanwhile, Honduras has to play Costa Rica and Mexico, while Panama gets us and Costa Rica.

We're going to Russia.

The Aussies scare the shite out of me. They’re a mirror image of us. I don’t want to be in a playoff against them.

No. For me Pulisic should be the #10 no ifs, ands or buts.

A late game attack of Pulisic, Nagbe, Benny, and Altidore could be fun.

Why in hell are we still calling up Rimando? Give that spot to a young guy.

It's not a video game. Rimando is renowned as a locker room presence, and is probably invaluable to Guzan and Howard in diagnosing what is happening on the field in-game.

In his first stint Bruce had his favorites that he kept calling in that led to his demise(besides his shitty 06' showing). I remember him calling in ABMOD match after match when we were trying to advance as a soccer country. He's an arrogant fricker and we just have to hope we can get across the finish line.

When is the last time we had a non-jan camp/off year gold cup squad that did not include a Germerican?

I see no point in Beasley, Zusi, Orozco, Ream, Dax, Zardes, or Wondo.

They are just bodies at this point. At no point would I consider putting them in a game when basically everyone except Brooks is healthy for the USMNT.

This is the same thing that I said during the Landon Donovan cut, but it's ridiculous to look at Fabian Johnson's form from the past few weeks as if he has done nothing else in his career. Just a few months ago he was on everyone's starting 11 to Russia, and for good reason.

Give me Johnson over Zusi. Miazga over Orozco. Morris and Dwyer over Wondo and Zardes. Kljestan or Nguyen over Dax.

Johnson is a fitness liability.

Miazga over Orozco

Wish it would happen, but Bruce I guess isn't throwing him out there in a do-or-die match. The kid has been playing well at Vitesse though aside from their abysmal Europa Cup performances.

Morris

Hasn't played since September 11, so that's a definite no.

Dwyer over Wondo and Zardes

I feel like Dwyer should probably be there, but the guy only has three caps. I feel like it's pretty obvious Bruce is going for a veteran side to get shite locked up. Zardes did get hurt in the previous MLS game, so I don't see why we didn't try to replace him with Dwyer or someone else.
