Seriously who thought that torturing Jamal Khashoggi would cost the Saudis literally billions and billions for PR?

I think it went beyond torture, like many pieces beyond torture.

Why take a pay cut for the second year? I’d come back with $850M for 1 year. I don’t think they have an income tax either. I’d play one year and get the frick out of there.

I can’t wait to see Haaland and M’Bappe playing one day for a team in Neom, a city that will definitely exist and is not a way for opportunistic experts in Asia, Europe, and the US to bilk bin Salman out of his oil billions.

Of course they did, it’s basically 300 million plus the cost of Mbappe’s loyalty fee for nothing.

Why go after guys who won’t sign. They could easily lure some of the best young talent on any continent. You’d be sweeping their Lion rugs right out from under them

The Saudis have a plan and a lot of cash to make their league better and in a quick hurry. How did LIV turn out for them?

This has nothing to do with my post. My post was about popularity. Saudi soccer is not popular. Whether the Saudis have some long term business plan is irrelevant to the point.

If you add a bunch of superstars to your league then one would think that the popularity would increase.

There has to be a way for people to watch it for it to become popular. Do they have broadcast partners around the world?
