If you add a bunch of superstars to your league then one would think that the popularity would increase.

You are discussing a potential future state. I am discussing the present state.

So you don’t disagree that adding all-world talent to their league will add popularity?

I agree that it’s not popular now but the dick-wagging for the Saudis has just begun.

Wait until they grease UEFA for some obscure exemption into Champions League or the Super League starts up again with them included.
I underestimated how greedy everyone is from top to bottom.

Yeah but all that money can’t buy you the honor of wearing La camisa de Los Blancos on a Saturday night in Granada.

So PSG accepted the deal, this is wild
There’s no reason why they wouldn’t, no one else is bidding that high

But it’s still up to the turtle

Interest spike or not we all know this is going to be a bigger failure than LIV

LIV fields were at least weighted in number towards recognizable names. Unless they have barely scratched the surface on incoming player volume, rosters are still going to be loaded with crap

If he really did turn down all that Saudi blood money then 2 things:

1) good on him and I want him on my team

2) Los Blancos have yet another reason to stick that chest out if he sits out this season and signs with them next

they can't just buy the stars and think they'll have the Premier league

they need to buy the squad players, the bench, the managers, the stadiums, the fans, the weather

Yes, everything is above board with all of this massive spending on sports leagues with the Saudis.

Why wouldn't it be above board? Massively rich people are spending a pitifully small amount of money (to them) to be entertained and lend legitimacy to their country.

We can just agree to disagree here but they're overspending at comically-high levels right now.

I’m just trying to boost my post count so they consider poaching me to come post exclusively on CamelDroppings.

It will be a struggle at first trying to post jokes and gifs without shared cultural references, but it will be nice to post in a less anti-semetic environment for once.
