Nope. He is not good enough to defend yet at the international level, especially against the likes of a terror like Hazard. He is effectively a RW for this World Cup.

Yeah that was my point. I don't think taking off Beasley or Fabian for him would be smart at all, and whiles he very good coming off the bench to play winger, I don't think he would be as effective if he were to start.

He's a wing back so would you take off Beasley or Fabian to insert yedlin?

well fabian is our best fullback, outside mid, and possibly winger. yedlin would possibly open his play up

Also, Mix Diskerud should get a shot at starting.

Yep. We're not going to score any more goals in this tournament if we can't possess better than we did today. Hopefully really tired legs were the cause of much of that, but it was terrible.

Bradley looks so out of place that far up the field.

The Landon commotion was never about Yedlin.

I never said it was. Just during the scrutiny over leaving out Landon, Yedlin's inclusion in the 23 was used as ammo to blast Jurgen by those who were pissed off.

Bedoya opens up the game for Fabian about as well as anyone could. Yedlin wouldn't have any more of an impact there.

I think he's a classic case of being a fast, fresh pair of legs. Maybe we could use him earlier in the second half.

Makes sense

I like him in the game

He can defend at the international level... he just isn't the the end to end option that we need. I think his skill set is being utilized perfectly right now.

Its quite possible Jurgy knows what hes doing.

Pretty damn obvious at this point. Everyone should be on board by now.

I'd be 100% on board if Landon Donovan was in Brazil over Brad Davis. Davis is useless.

We wouldn't be missing Landon if Zusi, Bedoya, and Bradley were playing well.

I would be fine with starting Green at this point over Zusi.

Is he not better than Brad Davis? Could he have not helped us today to give tired legs a rest?

Who? Yedlin?

The same DeAndre Yedlin that just about every journalist, observer and pundit says is a defensive liabilty in MLS?

I don't think this was ever in dispute..

LD obviously got left off for off the field issues. Not sure why but certainly he would have helped us talent wise at some point
