He's seemed to be an instant spark to the offense in the last two games. That could be huge if Jozy is out again.

I think he's a classic case of being a fast, fresh pair of legs. Maybe we could use him earlier in the second half.

Klinsy loves his David Odonkor quality ala 2006 Germany...

No. The role of an instant spark is as a sub. He still scares me and that first cross made my butthole pucker.

I want Bedoya and Zusi on the wings, and I really do not see how it is debatable unless Mix can play as well outside.

I am glad Brad Davis got to play in a World Cup game and live out his lifelong dream, but he needs to bring rubber cement and not cleats to the Belgium game because he should be glued to the bench.

Yea. His pace is what makes him special. As a sub you get the most out of that.

I remember all the moaning about Yedlin when Landon was left off.

Its quite possible Jurgy knows what hes doing.

Let's hope Yedlin's career doesn't go the route of Odonkor's.

Last seen playing for one of the shittiest clubs in Ukraine.

I am really starting to like him more and more.

But, I like the instant spark and change of pace he brings on as a sub. Comes in during the 2nd half, legs are getting heavy out there. And Yedlin has speed to burn and its really starting to show.... That right side has speed to burn with Yedlin playing above Fab. Its really deadly in the counter attack.

I wouldnt mind seeing ihm start at all, but I really like him as a sub.

Davis is just bad. It's relatively amazing a player of his quality can still make a WC team with the U.S. I don't fault him at all, he's just not talented.

Congrats to him for making it though.

He's a wing back so would you take off Beasley or Fabian to insert yedlin? I think the kid is going to be special, but wing backs don't always make good outside midfielders, at least not for entire matches. He should stay right where he is and that is the first option off the bench to provide a spark.

I'd go back to what we did vs. Portugal.

Nope. He is not good enough to defend yet at the international level, especially against the likes of a terror like Hazard. He is effectively a RW for this World Cup.

Yedlin's role is a sub to replace Bedoya or Zusi. His greatest attribute is his pace.

Agree. But he's not exactly perfect.

The Landon commotion was never about Yedlin.

Marvell Wynne better be #1 on that site.

Also, Mix Diskerud should get a shot at starting.

Believe in the Nordic Messi.

I was not too happy with the Yedlin selection, but those are the type of selections you kind of have to trust the staff with for the most part because bit part players have specific roles only known to the staff and the team itself.

It was about Brad Davis, Julian Green, and Wondo for the above poster.
