I know we have a match day thread and a young americans thread, but frick it, this is too awesome not to have its own thread.

I can't wait for this kid to turn 18 tomorrow so that I won't feel as dirty about getting hard every time I see him on the pitch.

Anybody have a link for the two assists? I've seen the goal, but not the assists.

The stats from Pulisic's last four games are pretty solid. LINK.
quote:

Christian Pulisic got off to a bit of a slow start this season. His participation in Copa America meant he got a long summer break and it took him some time to get back into the Borussia Dortmund team. In fact, by the start of September, he hadn't played in a single match yet.

Then he got a call-up to play for the United States in World Cup qualifying and, well, let's see how his month of September has gone:

• He came off the bench to score two goals and add an assist against St. Vincent and the Grenadines
• He became the youngest player to ever start a World Cup qualifier for the U.S.
• He was one of the Americans' best players against Trinidad and Tobago and picked up an assist
• He became the youngest player to ever start a Champions League match for Borussia Dortmund
• He was one of Dortmund's best players and had an assist against Legia Warsaw
• He had a goal and two assists against Darmstadt

He was also quite involved in the buildup to the second goal. LINK

ETA: He is so damn humble. I love it. LINK He'll kick Mexico's arse and say, "Eh, I could have done better."

ETA 2: Bundesliga website called him MOTM.

ETA 3: Apparently there was a moment in the game where he completely broke Sirigu's ankles and the crowd and announcer both got pretty hyped. If anyone can find it, they will be my new best friend.

At this rate, unless he goes to a Barca or real I don't want him to leave Dortmund, ever

Me neither, but being an Arsenal fan I'd love to see him suit up for us

If you guys want to see him embarrass a defender, check the 81:20 mark in the game. LINK

Fun fact: Sirigu's mom is American. American on American violence being committed in the Bundesliga.

BVB is so fun to watch. The quality across the 11 and the creativity is strong. Love watching them play...having Pulisic on the side just makes it that much better.
