No way should ings play. I think he should sit so that he's fresh for the derby this weekend. He's one of two (him and sturridge) that are healthy and have any quality that are available this weekend

I don't think he was registered as part of the 25 man squad to UEFA. Teixeira wasn't either

Yeah, I hear you. But I think we need to at least start with 2 strikers. Who else can pair with Origi?

I wouldn't mind seeing Moreno rested and Enrique rolled out for these cup games

Is he even on the squad and registered?

good question...

He was not named in the squad for the group stage.. so, never mind on that thought!

Full squad: Mignolet, Bogdan, Clyne, Gomez, Toure, Lovren, Moreno, Sakho, Skrtel, Lucas, Henderson, Milner, Can, Allen, Coutinho, Lallana, Firmino, Origi, Ings, Sturridge, Benteke

He's basically the Bobby Bonilla of soccer.

Does he even train these days?

I heard he had been training... deleting all social media and trying to get back in the fold.. I'm sure he has a long way back..

Rodgers, the tactical genius. Gomez on the left, with Ibe playing wingback.

Assuming that sexy beast scored?

I feel bad for him, Rodgers has kind F-ed the prime of his career I'm afraid.

He would have excelled in a lot of other systems. He's a hell of a talent when given space and the right setup.

i don't understand why in the world we didn't put a stronger lineup in. at this point, rogers needs a trophy to stay in and he puts this lineup in? i know it's still group stage, but come on.

I was ok with the selection for the most part. But Ibe supporting Gomez on the left was a joke. But tbh, Ibe has been a complete letdown in all aspects of his game this year. I'm so disappointed with him.

I was pleased with Allen, Rossiter, Can, Lallana, and Origi (except for his finishing). We should have scored 3 or 4 goals.

I thought Allen and Rossiter played pretty well. We definitlety should have scored more. Lallana had one that should have been easy. You're exactly right about Origi - played well except for his finishing.

I don't think it was an awesome game, but it kind of continued to build on what we've been doing. I thought we had the better chances and the better run of play - which I would hope so - but is still good to see.
