I could see some moves -
Lambert, Balo, Borini, Glen and Kolo comes to mind.

But I think Skyrtel is here for at least a few more years. He was solid for three months straight almost.

There will definitely be some departures though.

I wish BR would consistently play Balotelli before just tossing him aside. I mean, what harm could it do for the rest of this year and a good bit of next?

We'll probably buy 5 more shite wingers all with terrible end product who will beat their man and then fire a laser cross at no one.

Would fit right in with Sterling, Moreno and Markovic at this point.

Problem is we would need to change the system again to give Balo a real chance. What we've been doing lately is very dependent upon a striker that can expose openings with pace.

Thats why Sterling has done so well, and not fully fit Sturridge has struggled.

Extended the standard chartered deal for three more years. I know we were seeking 30m a year. Any rumors about what we got??

What have we been doing lately honestly? It's anyone's guess.

Even on our fine run of form, we weren't really creating tons of chances through Sterling or Sturridge.

The one game we dominated (city) was all about Hendo and Coutinho.

Balo has something to offer, I don't think we need to change the system, he just needs a fair run out. He hasn't been given that all year.

Every time Balotelli comes in, it seems like we gradually start getting more chance and stretching the back line. The man can score. Sure he has had trouble doing that this year, but what the hell can we expect when he plays a game per month?

I would bet a swift paycheck that if he had a full season, he'd be a top 5 scorer in the league. The man can play.

ETA: Wanted to note that I realize this is a lofty statement, and the only way it could happen is if he was a constant starter.

Balo has played decent to well in most of his appearances. And that being done without a strike partner and by being largely moved out to the wing (for some ridiculous reason). I'd like to see him stay and get 5-10 games under his boots with Studge. I just have no idea why Brendan refuses to play him with a partner.

Well he's been decent by himself, but its clear he's not that effective without someone playing off of him. He's a true target man. If you're going to play him alone up top then at least have one of the midfielders close and available for an outlet when he takes the ball down. He had NO ONE anywhere near him against Villa. Why the hell does anyone wonder why we were so inept going forward? Send the ball to him, he takes it down, hell he even turns with it to go upfield. But there's no one within 30 yards.

It boggles the mind.

So let me get this straight, you people think Balotelli and Sturridge are better playing off someone? I know one person that does not agree with you, unfortunately he is the manager of our football club. Just when I thought I was out of this conversation they pull me back in.

I wonder the same thing regarding Balotelli, and Rodgers. Sometimes I wonder if these doubts, and lineup questioning is a manifestation of my experience as an LSU fan with Les Miles.

Got ya, buddy!

I really do think that we would have success with a 3-5-2 formation, so long as Hendo/Cou/Sterling are a bit farther up.

Of course, I know nothing about how to employ the formation in reality, I just want to see goals scored.

No. Balo is better playing in a two striker system where a pacy striker plays off of him.

Everyone knew Balo couldn't play as a lone striker before he came to Liverpool. Everyone knew it after. This is common knowledge. Amongst managers, pundits, and fans. He couldn't do it at City. He couldn't do it at Milan. Had Brendan ever watched the guy play before he bought him?

Its a manifestation of the fact that you aren't stubborn and insistent on playing a 4-5-1. There is literally no way you can explain to me how Mario can be effective on the wing. No way at all. I can't think of any logical explanation to that whatsoever.

Got it P&G, I agree with the pacy striker playing off Balo. I am just so frustrated with the way we have used Balo I am willing to take anything at this point that doesn't have him solo up top or on the wing. I find my aggravation with BR manifesting itself into anger when we lose and look inept going forward. It reminds me of the relationship that I have with Miles and I'm not sure if I can handle two of these. Thank God I have a good marriage. I also have Klopp on the brain, it's just not healthy.

Haha, the comparison to Miles is spot on. Never thought about it but they're peas in a pod.

Except Miles has somehow managed to win some shite.

Looks like another full on rebuild coming this summer with no champions league football to offer.

frick.

To be completely honest, as long as we don't sign a bunch of no-talent arse clowns like we did this past transfer window, IDGAF if we rebuild... In fact, I support it, so long as both Balotelli and Skrtel are kept, Ibe is a permanent starter on the right, and we get QUALITY midfield/defensive depth.
