Henderson's been brilliant today for me.

Just need to find the right guy to partner with him in midfield. Maybe that will be Can for the future

He has but when he goes forward, that leaves Lucas, who I think can be upgraded.

Would've been nice if United and Spurs both drew but our next 3 matches will be big to gain some ground on 4th

all in all, it hasn't been pretty, but we are right there.... considering our lackluster start, to be where we are right now is pretty amazing...

still gotta find more goals down the stretch though... Luis is sorely missed, but now it's time for other Reds to stake their claim and rise to the occasion....

For those keeping track, thats two clean sheets in a row. Neither team was an offensive juggernaut, but we did not give up many chances in either game. I think Migs had to make one good save yesterday. And kind of really none against Sunderland.

Have we found a back 3 that can work together going forward for at least a bit? I think Can improves almost every week and though his future is likely not CB, he's definitely playing well there for now. Sakho is, imo, our best back there. He does go to the ground a bit too much, but he rarely does it in a way that will get him in trouble. Skyrtel has some issues at times with marking, but he works hard, and I think the more he plays center the better he's becoming.

I do worry a bit about our outside backs - Lazar and even Moreno seem a bit deficient on defense, though their work rate is good. I think a Man City or Chelsea may exploit them a little bit.

Sturridge back will be like a top of the line January transfer. I just hope he's eased back in a bit, and with some FA and Cap One Cup games coming up, we should be able to do that.

Just wish someone ahead of us (other than one of the two that are definitely finishing ahead of us) dropped points this weekend. But at least we're keeping up now.

Both clubs are fielding very strong squads... A little worried about Markovic v Hazard...

frick, we have looked pretty good... god we miss Daniel...

Poor foul by Can, didn't need to do that...

It's gonna be tough to break them down... similar to the end of last season.. can see them getting one on the counter, if we keep pushing on...

outplayed them and only get a point... may be the best we have played all season... their only shot on target was a PK...

frick we need to plunk down some coin and get a GK... the difference guys like Courtois or De Gea make... Unlike Migs, who will cost us points...

Oh well, not to be too negative... we played some good stuff out there today..

Definitely something to build on. We desperately need someone who can finish. Our midfield bossed them around, which made our defense look much better. Can't emphasize how poor the final third looked though

I agree, but at the same time we were unlucky and/or they defended well... Add Studge to that attack and he could be the difference..

Studge will add a ton, but we can't just rely on him. I think that's where we are finding ourselves now. Balo won't cut it, as will Borini and Lambert just isn't there either.
