yeah, I can't see us bringing in another striker as long as Borini and Lambert are on the books. I'm not sure FSG is willing to give him the funds right now.. I have hopes for Balo and Studge in a partnership, in an effort to give us another look, but not necessarily every match (unless BR has lost all faith in him)..

I gotta imagine the only striker that is safe this summer is Studge.. with Origi coming in too..

Are you adding Sterling in that too? Yeah Borini, Balo and Lambert are fighting for spots. I think one (Balo) gets it cause of the money spent. It's abundantly clear we need goal scorers

No, I still don't consider Raheem a striker, though I suppose he can always develop in to one...

Yea most of what I've seen suggests we probably aren't spending this window

The problem is what FSG is willing to spend right now, isn't going to get us anything better than what we have it seems. I said it before, if he's only going to get limited funds this window, I'd like to see Brendan put it towards a keeper.

Our goal scoring rate's definitely not up to par with last year, but since we've gone to this new formation, at least we're threatening and not allergic to the back of the net like before

yeah, Im pretty sure what you see is what you get, in terms of the squad... its taken a good bit of time, but he finally seems to have a starting eleven that works best and the new guys are starting to play well... there will be some tinkering, I'm sure... when healthy, we have an abundance of attacking talent... but we are still in 4 comps so we will need to rest some of them...

I just hope he doesn't try and shoe horn Lovren into the side, on any kind of regular basis...

So, what kind of side do we field against Bolton on Saturday? If we'd have gotten thrashed by CFC, I'd have said a strong side... But, I think we may need to rest some of those players for the return leg... I'm thinking we'll see the same starting 11 next Tuesday, so I hope its something like...

Lallana, Ibe, Borini (or Lambert) up top.. Enrique *gulp* and Manquillo as wing backs... But I don't know if we have the bodies to really rotate much in MF and the back... with Allen still out and Kolo gone.. I'm guessing we'll see Lovren back there... Does Rossiter deserve a chance?

Thoughts... too many changes?

Damn, when is Allen supposed to be back?

Also, what's the timetable for Sturridge now?

I would love to see Ibe on Saturday.

In Rodgers last update he said Studge *may* be ready for next Tuesday, he's training well... That said, I'd expect he would only come on as a sub...

He's had enough setbacks already. No need to rush him

Reports that Real Madrid are looking to offload Asier Illarramendi. He would be an amazing DM.

Brendan just do it

Is he a DM or DLP? I had always heard he was the heir apparent to Xabi Alonso... Honestly, I haven't watched him that much, so I don't know.. he never really plays when I watch Real...

What is the price being floated for him.. didn't he cost them over £30mm??

I saw £45m. He just never panned out I think. But the rumors are Bilbao are going in for £25m and I hardly see Brendan going in for that

edit: just saw €32.2m

Great news on the loan front: Joao Carlos Teixeira scored a brace against Ipswich Town yesterday

Yeah, I can't see us paying that either... That must mean Bilbao is going to off load Laporte (I read Man U), if they are throwing around that kind of cash..

Apparently, Balotelli, Allen and Johnson are all available for this weekends match... Ibe is cup tied though, so no FA cup for him..

I fricking LOVE me some Henderson. He is scared of nobody and plays recklessly. Brilliantly.
