And thus the title shall change again...

Suggestions?

Also, I got my supporters' scarf in today! If only it had come in yesterday, our luck could have been different.

Side note: Can we get Lucas and Origi some liquid confidence going into the next matches they appear? They were terrible today... Not that we had anyone play well.

I have loved Lucas since watching Being Liverpool but he does not have the speed anymore to keep up

Well, Mane's coming back, we have no other competitions...no more excuses that we can possibly have. We'll never have to play twice in a week the rest of the season unless its the EPL schedule to do so or an opponent has an FA Cup conflict. That means balls to the wall 120 km pressure.

I expect Klopp to be ruthless this summer and get rid of a lot of deadweight. How I see it (not necessarily how Klopp will see it and not a predictions, just my thoughts)

Gone because they aren't good enough/don't fit what Klopp wants to do - Moreno, Mignolet, Lucas, Ings, Lovren, Markovic and Flanagan.

Gone the summer after this one because they aren't good enough , but close that Klopp will keep them another year since he can't overhaul 20 players in one summer - Studge, Karius, Origi, Can and Stewart.

Other thoughts -

I watched Origi try to pass the ball with a reaching outside of his right foot straight out of bounds when it would have been an easy left footed pass. He has time to grow, but simple things shouldn't be that difficult and I don't think he'll cut it here long term.

I'm close to done with Karius. He's not big enough to stay on the line and close off the angles and his positioning is poor. The first goal yesterday should have been an easy grab/punch for a keeper. The second one was a poorly timed slide. They should have had another one had Lucas not gone to cover the goal line and Karius would have been beaten at the near post. Long story short - he has limitations, and even his strenghts he has shown he's not good enough at. He "guesses" where the ball will go sometimes - not as bad as Brad Jones vs. United a few years ago, but bad enough.

Studge doesn't have pace anymore and is pretty much usless unless he's served up on a platter or everyone else works even harder to make up for his deficiencies. I don't buy the lazy argument of his game, but he's just not aggressive enough off the ball.

Its down to this - Mane is coming back. We'll be close to our starting XI for the rest of the year. We have some favorable matchups at anfield. If we don't get top 4 - Klopp and his new fitness guys need to take a long look in the mirror. THis is Klopp's second year without a winter break and the fitness guys first - they may need to change some things.

Our fitness has seemed to be fine for the most part? Don't think you can blame that for our poor form

You're right, we need to be 100% laser focused on top 4 and the league... I've given up hope on a title push, but hey stranger things have happened, and like I said to start the season I'll be thrilled with top 4

We definitely don't seem as fresh as we were earlier in the season, and as fresh as our opponents. Tired minds and tired legs. JMO. Our midfield definitely seems to tire more right now.

Whens the last time we dictacted a game not against a league 2 side?

Flanagan and Stewart are championship level players...

I'd also flip Daniel and Ings, in regards to years... I don't see many suitors coming for a guy coming off two knees... maybe a loan to prove fitness and sell the following summer..

I'm willing to give Karius more time... I see some positives, but if he doesn't improve next season, then I would agree...

I also think this is the summer you'd need to sell Can (personally, on the fence) Since he isn't signing a new deal, he'd leave for free the next one...

Wasn't factoring in the contract issue - so I would likely agree on Can unless something changes.

Speaking of contracts - I'm not sure Gomez deserves a 5 year contract unless his contract is about to run out as well.

I have seen nothing from him that shows he's ready. He needs time to get back fully from injury, but I also think he's pretty far from being ready to start on a weekly basis in the EPL.

Locking up an asset. It doesn't have much to do with him earning it as much as it has to do with us being able to make money off of him if he turns good and wants to leave.

I'm puzzled why money is not being spent by us.
We finished last summer net ahead and looks like we will blank the Jan window. The club brought in 630m pounds last year either spend some or buy us all a pint at the Sandun pub
