Well if missing one player (Mane) makes us suck this bad then we should have done something to address it this window. Do you think he'll come back fresh as a daisy after AFCON? What if he gets injured? We are far too fragile if the loss of one player lets us fall so far off our form. I don't have the answer but I'm tired as frick of losing.

Yeah, well I agree on that point. The refusal to buy more players in the summer is killing us. We have zero depth. To make matters worse, the players coming into the team (Studge and Origi) have been hot garbage. That being said we have a two week international break coming up, right? That will do this squad a world of good.

Squad depth, piss poor corners & set pieces, poor form from our guys who are supposed to score goals (Sturbridge & Origi).
The good news is that all of this is fixable in the long run. But surely you can appreciate the frustration of this run. Losing at home to the worst fricking team in the league after they got handled by Arsenal. Only to be followed up by what we saw yesterday. It's depressing. But you're right... get a nice result against Wolves and it's game on. And seeing as how Chelsea aren't a relegation team, we will probably beat them. It's what we do.

Out of all the things that have pissed me off over the last few weeks, Sturridge's constant, unhappy "Here I am standing and ready for you guys to let me score and you guys aren't doing it" look might be doing it most for me.

Can has sucked arse, but at least he has seemed passionate about sucking arse.

https://www.thisisanfield.com/2017/01/jamie-carragher-questions-daniel-sturridges-liverpool-role-league-cup-exit/
And in that first season-and-a-half he was playing with a magician named Suarez.
quote:
In his first season-and-a-half with the Reds, Sturridge scored 36 goals in 49 games, but he has netted just 24 in 62 since, and while he remains Liverpool’s best finisher, this is a clear drop in productivity.
Carragher believes that is due to a change in the striker’s all-round game, with his lack of overall contribution hampering his ability to beat the goalkeeper.
“That’s the case with that type of striker now, if they’re not a target man, or don’t run in behind, everything has got to be put on a plate,” he added.
“So when he doesn’t score you’re basically down to 10 men because they are not offering anything else whatsoever.
“You have to criticise Sturridge tonight because he missed chances, but when you look at his Liverpool record—his finishing and goal-to-game ratio—it’s fantastic.
“But I’m talking about his pace and his overall game because when he doesn’t score it’s like playing with 10 men.”

Oh absolutely. Believe me, I'm just as frustrated. Just trying to keep the ship level through this storm.

It needs to be a busy summer. We have a gap on the bench. Either the players are young, talented and not ready or from the BR years and do not first the system. And by busy I mean selling too. We need to sell our traditional strikers and get more immediate impact Klopp types. And please God find Matip a mate!!!

Fellas, I gotta refresh my mind... I think this will do the trick!
[/img]
Two and a half hours of the Reds' finest goals up to the end of 2005 (I believe). Just came in today!

this is EXACTLY what i've been saying for 2 years now about Sturridge... i'm hoping you guys are finally starting to see what i've been talking about with him...
all world talent, when he's engage in what's going on and he's getting his chances, but that ain't too often, and especially not happening with him coming off the bench....
time (been time, IMO) to sell...

I'm pretty sure several of us are boarding that train... I am of the opinion that zings can provide something to the striker corps. I think his energy level, if sustained, could be a heavy advantage to our high pressing identity.
If only he could stay healthy.

Klopp is so fricking naive trying to play through the middle against these deep blocks.

I really like the cups...
but... in the end, get all our guys back and focus on top 4... need to add a couple to the starting 11 and address the squad depth this summer...

My god, the bench depth on this team isn't even bottom-of-the-Championship quality. More like League One to be generous.
I've always understood since Klopp has been here that our defense isn't going to be amazingly good. The point of pushing and staying on the front foot is to OUTSCORE your opponent, not out-defend him. When you're scoring zero or 1 goal per match? That spells fricking DOOM.
We need more quality depth. We need more PREMIER LEAGUE-level players. Not Championship-level depth. Not League One-level depth.
Premier League.
Klopp won't buy players? Well, if we don't finish Top 4 this year, that excuse may well be made for him, because no players will want to be bought and come here.
Top 4? Maybe we should keep our fingers crossed for Europa League qualification.

Geez, it's not that bad... Its a rough patch... Same squad that had us top of the league for a while..
We knew going in that Klopp was trimming the squad due to no European football... maybe it backfired a little..
I had a feeling early on that we wouldn't be buying in January (even though I felt we should)... He has said he will not buy stop gap players...
On Studge, I think he probably needs to move on this summer, but for so for him than LFC... He needs to go somewhere where he can get a good run of games as the main man up top... It's clear Firmino is Klopps preferred choice, as he should be..
I wouldn't be opposed to letting Can go either (though I don't mind if he stays)...
Then there are players that just need to leave... I wont go in to them, Ive beat that dead horse..

I DVRd the match, but fast forwarded through it after the first goal... It's not even fun to watch any more, I think we can answer without a shadow of a doubt that Klopp has been figured out, play deep and counter and you'll win every time

I don't think its that simple... obviously, quality of player helps over come all that...

From what I've read, your solicitor can appear In court for you for drunk driving charges.

Yeah I mean, only 2 of our starting 11 played the first half. 3 were out there at the final whistle.
