I don't know if it had a big impact in Turkey. In 2000 and 2002, the foreigner limits were even more strict and those were the golden days of Turkish soccer.

The new rule is 14 foreigners though, so it's basically no limit these days.

The foreigner limit is a back-end way of making the league more nationally homogeneous, rather than the right way, which would be to focus on youth development. There is no reason Turkey, England, and Russia couldn't follow the youth development of other large countries like France, with their highly centralized structure, or Germany and Spain, with their club-based approach.

I was excited about Martial and Coman playing on the wings but they get the ball and two defenders close any space for them to run into.

I feel like Giroud gets more chances than any striker in the world. At club and international level.

He literally does with Arsenal. Ozil led the world in chances created last season. A record for top 5 leagues, I believe.
