Its hosted a LOT of things...
mainly now its high school football. But in the past its hosted (and I'm sure I'm missing a lot of stuff) -
The Beatles
US Track and Field Olympic Trials
Tulane Football Games (in the later years of their being at the Dome they would usually play one outdoor game for tailgaiting/alumni reasons)
Whatever the semi-pro soccer team first moved to New Orleans back in the 90s (Gamblers?)
Its pretty much a run down stadium in the middle of a City Park - so it gets used whenever its needed by whatever needs it.

Good news is, is that we have a young world class striker on the way.
ETA: We won the Gold Cup and are qualified for the upcoming World Cup. Got the USMNT up to sixth in the FIFA rankings and our 12 match win streak ended w/ a freaking 2-1 loss to Guatemala. I was pissed. Dropped down to 8th.

I think around the world, Tad Gormley is best known as the place where DAN O'Brien missed his qualifying pole vault and failed to make the Olympic Games in 1992 despite being a gold medal favorite.
