So badly wish that had gone in.

Was this Cous best overall game? Had several great balls that released guys and allowed for goals and or great chances.

Was physical on defense. Intercepted a few balls. Basically just made himself a menace in our press.

If he can have that type of offensive and defensive energy and performance most weeks, we'll lock up top four easily.

Cous's run and pass to Hendo was amazing. Good thing Hendo can't finish worth shite, though.

How do we go from Everton/Arsenal type performances to WBA?

And down goes Wenger!!!

You know Aly puckered Wilshere's Goon arse when he bowed up to him.

Amazing performance, and could have been worse for the twats.

Between injuries and general squad depth, I just don't think we have enough guys. Its impossible to put your best effort out there every single time. Sometimes it just doesn't happen. A few guys getting a rest every now and then could help that.

You also know you have to be on top of things each time out or risk not getting selected.

I believe thats a big part of it.

Hoping for a draw tomm...

Really need 3 points at Fulham on Wed, they're bottom of the table..

A win at the emirates next week would be gravy... That games is sandwiched in between Man U and Bayern for Arsenal, so we may catch them at a good time... All in all, I could live with a loss knowing we can focus on the league and getting top 4.

Last couple of games, Cou has been getting back to the way he was playing last season.. He's also started defending A LOT better...

Funny how BR wanted to create a "death by a thousand passes" type squad, but we are at our best on the counter... Lethal!

You also gotta know that our guys were out to prove a point after being dominated at the Emirates.

I feel like it's easier to be motivated for these high profile games than vs a WBA . Especially when we are thin in depth/tired.

So we currently stand at 50 points with 13 matches left. The last few years, the magic number to get 4th place and Champions league has been around 70 points, but this year may need more considering the top has been pretty tight. Looking at our last matches, if we were to win the 7 games remaining against the lower half of the competition that would put us at 71 points.

At Fulham
Swansea at home
Sunderland at home
At Cardiff
At West Ham
At Norwich
At Crystal Palace

Now I wouldn't be surprised if we lost some of those points considering most of the matches are on the road and our form hasn't been the greatest, but we're set up to finish pretty well. And with our form at home, there's plenty of points to be taken from the top teams.

At Southampton
At Man U
Tottenham at home
Man City at home
Chelsea at home
Newcastle at home

Moral of the story, we're in a pretty good position right now boys

I like the spot we are in, but I think we can't really afford too many more injuries...

Hopefully some of our injured are coming back soon...

Rewatched the match, amazing stuff really.

Unbelievable the control LFC had on the entire match. That first 20 minutes was the most dominant, breathtaking football I have ever seen Liverpool play. Clinical in every sense of the word.

The players were clearly the difference, but Rodgers gave one of the best managers in world football an absolute lesson.

Where Liverpool were energetic and lively, Arsenal were apathetic and careless. Their shape was absolutely horrid, and the positioning of the CBs was among the worst I've ever seen. It's as if Wenger did nothing to prepare for the pace of Sterling and Sturridge. Just shocking how a manager of his quality could neglect that phase of our game.

And for me, Ozil is a top player, but I would never take him in this side. He doesn't fit the system, and I think it's a problem Wenger really needs to address while Ramsey is out. He's lazy in every sense of the word, and almost careless in his actions. His defensive work rate was fricking atrocious, his pressing nonexistant, and there was more than a handful of times you can see him just walking around, as if he isn't even paying attention to the match. He isn't a modern playmaker, which is why Madrid let him go, and why they haven't missed him while he's been gone.

Conversely, Coutinho is a ball of pure creativity AND energy. He was perfect yesterday.

And obviously there are no words to describe Suarez's brilliance. Leading the league in goals and assists, this could be the best performance the BPL has ever seen from a player in a season. For me, there isn't a dollar amount or player in the world worth what Suarez means to this team.

Also, 5-1 flattered the frick out of Arsenal.

Payback for the first match where we were clearly outclassed in midfield

Since at Arsenal, he's reminding me more and more of Berbatov. You can obviously see his skill, but he just seems to lack urgency and just looks like he doesn't care.

And he really hasn't fit that team as well that they had hoped. He's a good passer and picks out runners, but you could see the problem yesterday was that they had no one making runs or trying to threaten. They'll try to one touch pass you to death in trying to break you down, but without anyone to stretch the defense, we were able to just keep it compact and smother them as soon as the ball got forward.

Playing for the Ballon d'Or this year. And if we can hold on to him and beef up the defense in the summer, all of a sudden we don't look quite as far off of the League champions. Just have to improve our consistency on the road but we played toe to toe with Chelsea and City at their place
