Well, pretty much every team that could put pressure on us with a win today, won today. So its up to us to keep up and ahead.

Knowing we got 7 of the top 8 at home also means the reverse - we'll be on the road to a lot of mid and low table teams this second half. We did fairly well there in the first half of the year, but need to keep churning out some tough road wins this second half.

Coutinho should have to stay after training for shooting practice...

Well, it wasnt pretty but we held serve in the top 4...

That assist and finish from SAS

The defense was shaky at best, they did Mingolet no favors...

They said before the game that Liverpool had not won @ Stoke in the premier league era. Seems crazy but if so, great win today to break that streak.

Stevie said post-match, that BR has told him that he will be playing in that holding role more often...

Interesting... i wonder if that means no DM is coming in this month... would be very disappointing..

Awesome match today. Wish papa suarez got that third.

And I think Coutinho has surpassed Hendo as the worst finisher

SaSaS are turning into the leagues best attacking three. So excited that Studge is finally back. What a goal to seal it, too.

So this brings us to what is our best XI when everybody's healthy. Obviously our back line is gonna be inconsistent and I guess we have to deal with it for now, but Henderson and Sterling have taken advantage of their chances and are proving it will be tough to leave them out.

I have always thought we looked most dangerous in the 433, but that means one of Lucas, Gerrard, or Hendo is left out. Of course, you have the same issue in the 352, so a central midfield rotation seems like its unavoidable at this point. Unless we move to a 442. But two at the top will always leave Sterling out unless you sit Glen's lazy arse.

How does everyone feel Assaidi will fit into the squad when he comes back? He's been doing really well at Stoke.

Just depends on who y'all play. Good win today in adverse conditions.

Honestly have no clue. I guess with Sterling being so young it would be nice to have a pacey wide player to come off the bench in each game.

One of our worst displays of the year and we put five past Stoke at home in a monsoon. I'll take it any day, but this is quickly turning into Kevin Keegan's Newcastle. We'll give you three, but we'll score 4 (or in today's case 5).

Been lighting the world on fire from what I've heard. At least in the first third of the season. We could use him back desperately. He's said in an interview that he doesn't want to stay in Spain. He wants to come back to Liverpool and earn his starting spot.

Who's spot would he take? Allen's?

That'd be my guess.
