Haven't heard much about Ibe

I don't think he needs another year in the reserves; he's proven that he's ready for tougher competition. I'd love to see him loaned out, but after seeing Sterling hit the wall last year I'd imagine BR will like to take it a bit slower with some of these young boys.

I'd be very happy with that.

Question do you do it now or do you keep him try to use him for spot spells i.e. early cup competitions then try to move him in the winter window.

I think BR makes a strong push in the domestic cups this season since top 4 is going to be a struggle and there is no potential European success to appease FSG. Particularly with some of the purchases we're making there are going to be a lot of faces looking for minutes and I just don't see the younger guys getting the opportunities they had last season. A 6 month loan for Ibe to start the season sounds great to me.

Possibly my favorite pictures so far. Aspas leaning on things...

Both Kelly and Wisdom would be right there to fill in.

True, and Kelly did look the part when he slotted in last time. I just worry about his health. Wisdom is certainly capable at RB, but capable is about it. He's not as versatile IMO.

I came to realize towards the end of last season that Johnson just isn't as valuable as he should be. He could still fetch a decent fee at his age, and I'm sure there would be a club who would bite. There were rumors earlier in the window that LFC was open to offers for him.

Agree. His efficiency in the attacking third has been woeful lately. His touch is worse than a Sunday pub league RB, and some of his offense decisions leave you with your mouth hanging open (or in my case, screaming and throwing beer in Finn's). You make another good point with the timing. If we wanted to offload, this would be a good time to do it.

My only worry is that I feel like there are much more pressing needs in the squad at this point. But if we have the money, I guess its not a huge issue. And we're sitting pretty in that regard.

Might as well send him out immediately. Between Suarez, Coutinho, Sturridge, Borini, Aspas, Suso, Sterling, Downing and Alberto, I doubt Ibe gets any time at all - even in the cups.

3 of our youngsters have signed their first professional contracts with the clubs..

LINK

Jones is a very highly thought of CB and Fulton is said to be the best GK prospect to come from the youth ranks in a long time..

Also, on the topic of Johnson, if you watch the video on the page linked by TFTC, it looks like Glen has grown back the dreads of doom.

EDIT Nevermind I get what you're saying now. Why would they use old footage in a video about this week interspersed with training from this week?

I saw it, it was Glen... but that was prob 2-3 years ago footage. They were wearing adidas training gear..

By the way, it still bothers me that he has the cornrows on FIFA 13, two 1/2 years after he didtched them...

Haha he is, isn't he?

If I was a Swans supporter I don't know how excited I'd about him from that interview, probably very little.

I still think they got a good signing in him, one we might regret in the future, but I hope he does very well for the swans.

Have any of you been paying attention to the #riseuplfc on twitter?

If you have you know what I'm talking about ... If Warrior & LFC doesn't get the hint from that alone I'd bet the significant amount of money lost by not selling those extra kits might waking them up. I swear I'd cut them if they don't have a better design for the next season.

Warrior you better have guys on it now trying to come up with something so drastically better that we forget about the travesty that is this year.

Now that all of our kits have been officially released, I've got to figure out who I want to order for me and my son (2 years old).

I figure the following are safe for the next few years:

Sturridge
Coutinho
Agger
Gerrard (already have two with his name)

That made me realize how crazy it is that our roster has so much potential to change. We are very unsettled right now.

Thinking of doing an Agger for me and a Coutinho for my kid (since he's about the same size as Phillipe). But I really enjoyed what Coutinho brought last spring, so I may get him myself.
