Man, there is a lot of over reaction to this loss around here.

This isn't an overreaction. People are finally seeing things as they are and have been.

I've been consistent in my beliefs on Jurgy:

1. A national team manager shouldn't get more than one cycle

2. A manager should be consistent. Jurgy has not been (:cough: Ibarra :cough:)

3. A manager should not attack the national league. Jurgy has on multiple occasions.

4. Jurgy has not accomplished what he stated were his goals: (a) to play an exciting, attacking style (b) to help our fitness (c) to make us noticeably better

In sum, sack Jurgy

Instead of just saying it, how about you explain why you believe this is a overreaction.

I don't agree with that at all.

People that hated Jurgen before the loss to Jamaica are just fanning flames around here right now.

I suspect this cycle will be a lot like last. Lots of tinkering to see/test tactics and to evaluate players. When it comes down to really putting the gas pedal down during the Hex things will play out very similarly.

People are going to gnash their teeth over the Gold Cup? The team couldnt finish in the 2nd half. Had they done so this thread wouldnt even exist. But yeah, Sack Jurgy and dont put any blame on the execution in the final third by the players.

Just crazy.

So what are those tactics?

So you think I dont know what Im talking about? Is that what this is about? Hilarious. Talk about a self inflated sense of worth and narcissism on your part.

What do you want me to explain? The obvious different formations that were tried and used? I mean, its obvious right? Do I really need to list them all?

Different formations aren't tactics

Im not interested in arguing your straw man.

Formations are not tactics in whole but they are a focal point and main part OF them. They dictate how you play and what your side selection will be.

Jurgen has tried a bunch of things. Playing narrow in a diamond. Playing with a false 9. He even tried playing with 3 backs. He has tried playing direct and tried playing up through the mids with Bradley bouncing around depending.

Like I said, Im not sure why I have to qualify myself and my opinion and you dont call on other to do so, maybe its becasue I think you Jurgen haters are overreacting and that made you mad.

Ok, I'll play... How were our tactics different in the diamond as opposed to the 4-2-3-1?

The 4-4-2 diamond would be more of a possession oriented formation more reliant on slow build up and hold up play up top. The 4-2-3-1 is more of a fluid counter formation that less reliant on build up play that pushed the play wider through the mids through the wingers.

Can we stop playing this silly game now? Its kind of pathetic man.

The tactics never changed...

Our outside backs overlapped because we were getting absolutely no width (or possession) from our outside mids... Even though he was listed as the 10 in the diamond, MB was still dropping well into the defending third to receive the ball and start the attack...

If that option wasn't available... Then we reverted to Bob Ball with our backline bombing towards the other end, which is a stupid tactic to begin with but downright insane when you send your one real target forward home (due to injury).

How about you quit being mad and bring up a counter point to my post where I explained that our tactics never changed despite the "different" formations.

Really? You both are not accusing me of coping shite from wikipedia in an attempt to discredit the person instead of the original opinion about the overreaction and the follow on reasoning I gave?

Nope. I just said that you didn't answer his question and gave an extremely basic explanation that showed no real understanding.

You're the only one going the ad hominem route.
