I actually feel like I have seen a little less about this WC than last time, but maybe I'm just watching less tv than I was four years ago.

Good call, because no one belittles our sport

But seriously, has anyone been watching?

US soccer gets zero publicity in the US. This World Cup has gotten a few commercials on ESPN. I did see a World Cup stand at Academy selling Mexico, Argentina and Germany jerseys. That's about it

That's why I don't like it when others belittle other sports.

Those are all adidas. Probably why they were grouped together. Adidas jerseys also hit stores about three months before Nike. Just saying.

Watching what? I would love to watch US men's soccer if someone or something besides this board, the USMNT website or Big Soccer forum told me where to watch it. I know that sounds lazy but there's no mention of the games anywhere. I could tell you who's playing in ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball game b/c it's advertised a hundred times over the weekend or who's fighting for the MMA Championship (which I hate) b/c it's on every newspaper and airport advertising or which college football spring game replay I can watch...etc., etc., etc.

It's ridiculous that there's not more attention given to this team. It's our freaking national team!!! It's piss poor that the average fan doesn't even know when or where they are playing because there's zero publicity. Rant over

You're over exaggerating big time. ESPN has done a damn strong job of advertising US Soccer (hell, soccer in general) in this past World Cup cycle.

Have you tried pressing the 'On' button on your TV? Sportscenter has had World Cup segments everyday for the past 3 weeks. There's WC commercials every other break. ESPN made a fricking 6-part series on the US team alone.

Maybe a little

I guess I'm just pissed that the team gets little publicity. Maybe a strong showing in Brazil will get interest up.
