Brad Davis is the slowest player we've used since Conor Casey.

"Yeah, slow pokes," said Alan Gordon as he quickly slipped out of the room.

And worst of all, Brad Davis played 45 minutes at the World Cup.

58 minutes. Jurgen left Brad Davis in after halftime. That was pretty mind blowing.

I was shocked how much he lagged behind everyone else in the game. He provided less cover than maybe any midfielder I have ever seen.

Thank god we switched wings or Boetang could have created 50+ chances that game.

I'm a Quakes fan, and I watched Wondo emerge from a fringe player to an MLS star, so I'm biased.

That said, I love the guy, and I really hurt for him. He works his arse off and has such great character.

That miss was brutal and costly, but I love his response since he's come back. He owns it totally. No backing down.

That miss has no real effect on any of our lives. We will remember it and Belgium too, but it's not a top 10 memory of this World Cup. But you know it's gotta hurt the guy.

Idk, I get bothered when people say stuff like "frick Wondo." I know it means nothing, but it bothers me when people flippantly reduce a guy (a good guy at that) to a single mistake.

I felt the same way about Rico Clark in 2010. I can't say that about an athlete who does things the right way. Douches like RVP or whoever, I'll rip all day. I just can't understand hating (or hating on) a hard working guy who made a mistake and has to deal with that.

Sometimes they are just in over their head or it was a bad stroke of luck. We know Wondo converts that most of the time.

I know I was negative of Brad Davis in the post above, but I am glad he got the chance to live his dream. It was a horrendous tactical decision to start him and leave him in after halftime, but none of that Brad Davis's fault. I do wish he could not have gotten a little lead out of his arse.

Brad Davis had no business playing in the WC. He's not good enough IMO, and it was obvious.

Honesty is fine. Hating a person or using hateful language is not cool and is one of those cool Internet things that needs to get fricking lost.

To be fair, Rico is pretty douchey.

Well, I fricking love Wondo. I didn't really know much about him until the last year and half or so, but he's one of my favorites for sure.

1. You're completely right about Jurgen handcuffing the team offensively with Dempsey up top and Bradley in the playmaking role. Our offense came alive when Wondo came in as a target forward.

2. Wondo was really good other than going 0/1 from the field.

Me neither, I was just going off of when he kicked the frick out of Carlos Ruiz. Now, did Ruiz deserve it for being a career baby-back bitch? Sure.

But damn that was such a fricking stupid not to mention dangerous thing to do.

he was pretty much a ghost out there vs Belgium and a non factor basically forcing Klinns's hand to bring on Green.

He actually played quite well in his limited time during the World Cup. Wondo basically proved that Jürgen was too conservative tactically. We could have shifted Clint to the wings put Wondo up top, and used Diskerud or Green more effectively as subs. Instead, Diskerud never saw the field because of the formation change. Wondo will be remembered for his miss. Bradley was put in a lose-lose situation. And worst of all, Brad Davis played 45 minutes at the World Cup.

All

Of

This

Thanks Jurgen.
