Played with Chelsea on FIFA when I started getting into soccer. Watched them for a year, and figured out they were counts.

Gave Fulham a go because of all the Americans. Lost interest because they were generally dull.

Buddy's favorite team was Arsenal, started watching and following them and eventually became a fan.

Lol how? When was there even a TV deal over here to show every EPL game every single week like there is now? I'm pretty sure it wasn't back in even 2009. I watched whatever I could.

Fricking hardo alert over here because if you didn't pop out of your mom's womb with a jersey on then you're a fan for a bullshite reason.

ESPN and Fox sure as hell carried a bunch of EPL games in the last 20 years. I never had a problem getting those games on my cable package. Nice try in deflection, you are a fair weather fan.

You are right about that, no doubt. Just don't give us some bullshite story about liking this team in 2004 when they were nowhere to be found on the radar because of your high school colors.

Watched someone sinking in screamers on Fifa 10. Somehow ended up searching for screamer videos on YouTube and came across Stevie G. Saw videos of how good and classy he was so I latched myself to Liverpool. Wish I could have caught him playing more earlier in his career.

Grandfather followed Celtic when I was a kid--he was Irish-American.

Wanted to follow an Irish club when I got into soccer more in 2009, so I picked up Shamrock Rovers as well.

Also like watching LA Galaxy (Donovan + Keane was the original draw)

Liverpool: Felt like starting to watch club soccer in 2010 or 2011. EPL was the easiest league to see. Narrowed a list down to 4 teams or so. Read up a bit about each club and was leaning toward Liverpool. Saw they had Suarez and that sold me. It helped that they wore red.

SKC: Decided to start watching MLS a year later. Liked their style of play and kits. Will be a AUFC fan when they start in 2017.

Gladbach: Decided to follow a German team in 2013 since I'm part German. Saw they had some history back in the day and have had a few Americans. And how could you not love a team with a name of Borussia Mönchengladbach?

This. I honestly don't care how you became a fan as long as you're real about it. So what if someone is City after they rose to prominence due to an influx of money? I just don't like when someone's always the biggest fan of whoever is doing well at the time or who ignores the facts about their club.

What I'm tired of is having a legitimate, honest answer to why I support United and getting called a bandwagoner by a City/Chelsea/Arsenal supporter. Seriously?

I still know that I couldn't have gotten it until after I graduated from high school in 2006. I don't even think Comcast carried it when I was in college. Therefore, I really couldn't watch any European club soccer until 2010 when I got Charter and they carried Fox Soccer Channel or whatever it was called.

I know for a fact that we didn't have it at my house through high school, and I don't remember having it in in college from 2006-2010, but I also wasn't looking for it. The first time I can remember hearing about it was in 2010 when I got the sports package from Charter.

I know I didn't have it as long as I lived with my parents because we didn't have any sports package.
