toe poke
Will have to rewatch. If indeed it was a toe poke, that was an amazing goal (then again, as with all toe pokes, it´s 99% luck).

Croatia deserved a draw. Atrocious call on the penalty. Keeper for Croatia...I know he had bad vision for the 2nd goal, but the 3rd should've been saved.

Was that not a foul by Ramires?

It was, which was partly why the goalkeeper had trouble reacting

Now my second favorite World Cup toe poke goal behind Ronaldo (BR)

Croatia 20 fouls
Brazil 5 fouls

How is this possible? Ref let a ton of stuff go - but heavily favored the Brazilians on it. How was that not a foul to start the 3rd Brazil goal?

Exactly. 2 goals shouldn't have been allowed, and then on top of that Croatia got a legit goal called back.

I think Croatia should have won, had this been reffed correctly.

Oh Im not saying it wasnt a great play by Oscar or anything like that, because it was. But the keeper should have stopped it.

You could also argue that Neymar should have been sent off in the first half, Paulinho should have been carded, and Croatia should have had a penalty.

The penalty was soft, but had Lovren made contact with Oscar or Neymar's shoulder it would've looked an easier call.

If by soft you mean nonexistant, then sure, it was soft.

Croatia will now be my other team in the tournament behind the US. Just because they are entertaining and got screwed over.

Croatia got screwed. Without that flop penalty it's likely a draw. That ref was either biased or just plain scared to make the proper call. Not surprised, FIFA is a shady organization and does show favoritism. If I'm Kovac I bench Pletikosa. All 3 goals were half-assed shots and he gave up all three. Any average keeper would have been able to save those. He cost them in Euro 08 and Euro 12.

They don't have anyone better and his distribution is top notch.

Speaking of keepers. Do we see Jefferson in replace of Julio Cesar next match???

You're joking. You think he got tackled? We weren't watching the same game.
Wat indeed.

Scolari loves Cesar. He's starting until he gets injured. Hell, Scolari would probably start him even if he was injured.

I do agree that Cesar did not look his best and didnt seem sure handed out there... but he still stopped every shot Croatia sent his way. So I dont think we see Jefferson next match, but Cesar didnt look that great IMO. So maybe Jefferson gets an opportunity at some point.
