I think the fact that Jurgen blames our Gold Cup sorrows on the refs is a big portion of why folks are upset about it.

Also that he publicly says that the fans basically just don't understand is pretty insulting.

That's the biggest problem. The losses aren't the worst thing IMO. It's the fact that he takes zero responsibility for any of them. There is zero accountability. It's a tragedy that our manager can play 6/11 players out of position in a WCQ and then throw them under the bus when they don't perform. Then when fans criticize him, he can just say "You're too naive to understand." That is a major problem.

You say this like Bob wasn't fired for losing in the finals of the 2011 Gold Cup.

Give it up on your heroes bob/LD. He was fired bc things were getting stale and the federation didnt see any progress. We got rolled in that 2011 final.

Just like with Klins things are getting stale

Seriously, the people who are downvoting posts critical of Jurgen, can you please post and tell us your reasoning for doing so? This board used to be a place where we would actually discuss things, and it would be nice to hear the opposing point of view.

ETA: I still don't get you people. Make your voice heard. Or don't. Whatever.

Bob was always Gulati's second choice. And if Jurgen was held to the same standards (which he should be... He's getting paid way more than Bradley was), he would have been fired by now.

Calm down bruv

The only thing Klins has been right about lately is saying our star players need to stay abroad. Bc these guys international form is just awful since coming to the MLS to cash in. But that discussion is for another thread.

No we didn't. That's why there was a playoff game.

Or we could've just not embarrassed ourselves at the Gold Cup and the playoff game wouldn't have even been a thing.

We certainly could have, but winning the 2015 GC wasn't absolutely necessary since we won in 2013.
