That's all fine and dandy until Gladbach released a statement that Fabian Johnson is being treated for a thigh injury.

If it would be the right move for a manager you like, it's the right move here too.

Calling out a player in that fashion is wrong for any manager, just as it is wrong here. It should always be handled internally.

The fact that Monchengladbach reports that Fab is now injured doesn't bode well for Klinsmann's tale of events either.

lmao he fouled Aguero for the winning penalty. Do you even watch your team play?

Yup you're right. I actually didn't watch that game other than live twitter updates because work. But yes, Fab did play in that match. Sorry for my forgetfulness.

I find it hilarious how if someone gets one thing wrong on this board you're an idiot and not a fan.

Yeah the diamond 4-4-2 clearly isn't working, and we aren't great with only one defensive midfielder. It causes too many problems.

The diamond requires things we don't have. We might as well go to a back 5 and commit to the low block, since the effect would have been the same and the possibility exists that we would have been slightly more organized.

It amazes me that I'm sort of yearning for the days of Bobball, where at least I couldn't question our organization. That's one thing we always seemed to have, and it annoys me now that our players are so clearly disorganized and utilized so poorly.

Sebastian Lletget could have given us some serious minutes at left mid. This is as much on Jurgen being a stubborn and unaware a-hole with his player decisions as it is on his poor tactics. He's just bad in so many ways.

We spent a year tinkering, a full fricking 25% of a cycle experimenting with different players, yet he comes out with a team that is the same as the one he played against Ghana.

God damn Spector got a look before Lletget and Feilhaber.

I long for the days when all we would complain about is the selection of Bornstein, Conor Casey, and Brian Ching.

Yeah, I was pointing all of this out while it was happening and some people argued that they were just friendlies

Saturday is the reason you take those games seriously

I always find it amusing when people take up for coaches in any sport simply because they're the coach.

Plain and simple, what Jurgy does by calling out his players does ZERO good. Now a Champions League team comes out and says one of it's starters has a thigh injury and Jurgy is full of shite. One of them is lying, but who? Does it even matter? You can't trust Jurgen, and I feel as though we are headed for a downward spiral.

Tatically we look like shite, our skill looks like shite, our organization looks like shite, and we still nearly pulled the damn match out. We put so much into Jurgy and built him up. He's had some good runs and done some good things...but when he shits the bed, he shits the bed big time

Add in the Spanish factor. Rimando speaks it, negating the potential advantage of keepers telling PK takers the GK weakness spots.

I can agree with you here.

Even though I spoke against it before the Mexico game, I now have seen the light.

Gladbach is now saying that Fab is doubtful to play this weekend.

But yeah, he should have tried to finish the game :sarcasm:

But but Jurgen wouldn't lie would he?

He said it was an unrelated injury, which it is if I'm not mistaken.

Let me also add that I said before the match that I'd be fine with Jurgen being fired if we lost to Mexico, which we did, and I still feel that way. Either take care of business in the Gold Cup or take care of business in the playoff, but not showing up in Russia in 2017 is unacceptable.

I just think that it's ridiculous that it's a constant circlejerk over hating him. Sending him home after that display is fine. There are plenty of valid reasons to hate Jurgen. This isn't one of them.
